I had no cash and couldn't register for whatever reason an account when calling payment line!
Very convienient for the shops - main street 100m.nRegistering and paying did take 25min due to internet access being slow.nDidn't see any reference to parking provider on websites, otherwise would have downloaded app or registered before travelling.nDevon's internet access is variable - and seemingly in a lot of car parks - go figure.nnWouldn't take card payment either.nnDespite the irritation - great parking for Totnes shops - lovely time.nnPs visit the cheese shop.
The newly installed Pay by Phone app does not work in Heath's Nursery, Totnes I have not tried the others nearby After a lengthy wait you can usually get to input how many hours you need, but it then rarely manages to progress to payment. It can take up to 15 mins and often I end up having to pay with cash - that is if you can get the machine to accept the coins as it seems incredibly fussy so have plenty with you - and then you can wait 2-3 mins for the ticket to be printed. This is not just on one occasion but seems to be the norm. Not a good experience.
Used this car park for the Totnes Market on a Friday. Arrived not long after 9am and was already fairly busy but still a few spaces free. The pay and display machines only accept cash, but you can use the RingGo app which we did once we'd managed to get phone signal on O2.
I nearly always use this carpark when I visit Totnes. I pay using the Ringo app. On Friday and Saturday, market days, it gets very busy, but I have never failed to get a slot.
