My husband and I were looking for a grave but did not know the plot. The chaps in the Cemetery Office were so very helpful. Having given the names and death dates 1895 and 1905 one member of staff made a phone call and soon had the plot number. Other staff members jumped into action to look at an old map with hundreds of plot positions on it. None of the numbers were in numerical order so it took a while for one chap to methodically look along every row. Once found, they said they'd show us where the plot is. We thought maybe one man would come along with us but three came along; one carried the map board. It was a good five minutes walk from the office to an area close to the main gates. The men were meticulous in checking the graves against the map and soon located the plot/grave we were looking for. They were so friendly and helpful and we had interrupted their lunch break but that didn't seem to bother them.nnThank you to those staff members and furthermore, I'd like to add how well kept the cemetery is. We'll be visiting again next year now we know the whereabouts of two family graves.
Always feel at ease here when I come to see my baby boy it’s so peaceful and clean I love to come here and sit with my son lovely and calm atmosphere it is a beautiful place
I’m deeply disappointed with the groundsmen, having recently burying my dad I’m disgusted with how the flowers were damaged so badly while putting them on the grave, flowers broke in half and other flowers badly damaged. All I can put this down to was a late burial and the lads in a rush to get away. Having spoke to the funeral directors who were absolutely amazing with their service he then raised my complaints with the cemetery however I’ve still not heard anything. I think this is disrespectful in many ways so I think I need to push this further they might not be bothered about people’s flowers but when you have £2000 worth of flowers you expect them to be in one piece having re visiting the grave only bout an hour and half after he was buried. Also I’ve noticed that the cemetery is like it used to be weeds everywhere long grass rubbish this is also disgusting.
Many, many thanks to the employee who helped me and my family today. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but he helped us locate an unmarked grave of a relative who died as a baby. We wouldn't have been able to have found it without him.
Took me long time see my sister grave miss her so much God bless sister
