I had to stay 4-5 weeks on Wards 10 & 12. The nurses were overworked but still put the time in for us patients. I would often become frustrated as my stay kept extending... But the nurses were kind & we could always have a laugh. I doubt anyone could enjoy being stuck in hospital for weeks, I certainly didn't! Yet the nurses helped make it as pain-free as possible.
Angry and upset. My wife was told she could go to sit with a relative at the end of life due to Covid. We travelled an hour to get there to be told she couldn’t go in. So they wanted a 92 year old to die alone. What about empathy and compassion, those qualities should be engrained in frontline staff otherwise they shouldn’t be in the job. I should know I’ve worked frontline in the NHS for 19 years. The staff on ward 18 should hold their heads in shame and maybe think about a new vocation. Disgusting!
Sent by the GP and they said I need to go and wait for a Gp appointment even if the GP said clearly they don't have a scan and they can't run any test to see why I am having my pains . Absolutely horrible service. Been sent from one place to another even if I could barely walk and without even a consultation I Ve been told I need to wait for a second day appointment to see their Gp even if I told them my problem requires a gynecologist. We pay taxes for nothing in this country
Nurse was absolutely horrible i wanted to have food and she took my food of me said i wasnt allowed to eat or drink# wheres the human rights
Absolutely brilliant Hospital very nice people and absolutely appreciate the hard work that the NHS doors
