Excellent company, with lovely products which you can bespoke to fit your own space. I have now bought 4 fairly large items from them, two on order, and I am pleased with their service. They are a family run business - you have to adjust your expectations accordingly - they are not going to always be able to meet delivery time scales due to have a limited scaled operation to produce hand made items. Yes, i agree there lead times are somewhat greater usually max 8 weeks than an average 30 days they say on their e-mail order confirmation, but to be honest i am not that bothered given the quality and look of what they provide.
In view of comments expressed within the past week I would like to place on record my experience with Heartland Interiors. I have found David and his staff always very helpful. In furnishing my new house, I have, over the past year, placed 7 orders with Heartland totalling £6,322, an average order of about £900. I would not have continued to do so if I had been in anyway dissatisfied with the work done. The only time that I did have a problem, David dealt with it immediately arranging to collect the item of furniture to rectify the problem and lending me a bookcase from the company's showroom while the work was being done. I am extremely satisfied and have no problem in awarding 5 stars.
I ordered a bureau a few years back. I called 3 years later to say one of the knobs had come loose. They sent a delivery van to pick up the door. They fixed it delivered it with no payment asked. I then lost a shelf hook last week and they posted 10 of them again with no charge. Not only is their craft work beautiful. Their customer service is outstanding. If only the world was run like Heartland Interiors there would never be any problems.
I bought a coffee table from Heartland Interiors. It's not exactly my own design, but it is a combination of two of the company's coffee table designs. The process of ordering was very simple, and I was given an estimate for how long the lead time would be. Right on time, HI called to arrange delivery. The two guys who delivered it had been badly delayed by traffic, but they could not have been more friendly & professional. The table is EXACTLY what I was hoping for and I am absolutely delighted with it. The price was very reasonable, especially given that it is a one-off piece. Wherever possible, I like to buy things that are made in Britain. I am really pleased that I found HI. My experience with them has been excellent.
Nearly three and a half months after I ordered it a two drawer filing cabinet it has arrived. When I ordered it on 25th November I was given a date of 8th January for delivery. That kind of delivery date made it very marginal as to whether I would buy it, but it looked good and so I did. The delivery date began to slide and I was quickly told on 10th January that it would be into February. It was explained, as if I'd understand, that orders had backed up because they shut the factory for two weeks at Christmas. I said they had no business to close the factory for that long when they had orders to fill. Even so it seems incredible that it took eight more weeks to catch up with a two week backlog. I feel suckered into buying this with the wrong delivery times. I never would have bought it had I known and I will not buy anything else from this company. I'm not interested in their explanations. There are no acceptable excuses for this kind of delay.
I’m just about to place my third order with Heartland and noticed a couple of negative reviews. Thought I’d add our experience. We’ve had both standard and custom furniture from Heartland and have had nothing but excellent service and beautiful, solid furniture. Our pieces are always much admired. Yes, you have to wait for stuff to be built and delivered, but if you want off the shelf, go to Ikea. But as a solid wood, handmade bookcase or table from Heartland will last for years, I think a little extra time is definitely worth it. I’m happy to reccommend this company. And happy to continue buying from them.
Absolutely fantastic products and service. After realising that it would be costly in both wood and time, we decided to look for a company that could make what we needed - bookcase shelves floor to ceiling along two walls. After talking to staff at Heartland regarding requirements and design, and also sending them measurements, the design team sent us a preview of what the could do and worked with us as we asked questions, and made slight adjustments where required. When the bookcases came, they installed them for us and they fitted exactly. They look absolutely stunning, really solid and are exactly what we needed. It's now about 18 months after installation and they are still fab. I can't fault them on customer service, quality of product or the installation. The cost was cheaper than we could have bought the wood if we'd done it ourselves, too. Great stuff guys, you are amazing.
We ordered products in the January sale and they took 7weeks to arrive. Much longer that 30days only when they arrived they were pine and not oak. The website gave us this option but the MD denied this was possible even when providing screenshot evidence of website and our order. Suddenly this pricing disappeared after our complaint.MD continued to deny they'd done anything their end. They accused us of being part of "a criminal gang who had been bothering them for 12 months". And continued to ignore our wish of them honouring our contracts whilst accusing us and threatening us. Awful service awful MD. they have sat accruing interest on our purchase for 7weeks! And we have now missed out on genuine sale offers elsewhere. I do not recommend this company at all. Untrustworthy and liers. I wouldn't even give one star.
Ordered a 7ft monks bench, much longer wait than estimated and with no comunication. Monks bench fitted with a very thin piece of wood for the seat which warped after a couple of weeks, every other monks bench i have seen has a decent thick piece of wood for the seat. The middle bit between the seats was not attached to frame and falls downwards, Paid a lot of money for poor quality and a painfully long wait without a mere email to let me know what was happening, left disappointed, this is the 1st negative review anywhere I've left in my life. The delivery guys were great though!
Not sure how to start this is a company that is so apt at mistruths from their web site clearly says lead time just now running at 30 working days So placed a order no 1117/0083 4th Nov as I need before Christmas then on the 5th Dec called to get delivery date and without even asking my name or order number was told End of Jan so asked how that could be as it was not information given at time of order ? after hearing so many excuses one being we don’t make them until we know we have a delivery van going your way as the timer is not stable in our environment ?. Then when I said it was purchased on DivideBuy was told I was not buying from heartland interiors anyway I was buying from Dividebuy and to contact them when I did they said it was totally untrue my purchase contract was with Heartland so I called and cancelled the order and try to tell them it was wrong to mislead customers all fell on deaf ear but she did said read our delivery term as it clearly says -- “All we can honestly say is that lead time estimates represent our best guess given in good faith at the time of ordering” So i asked what the site is given as delivery times now and she said still 30day how can that be a honest best guess when they know for fact it is closer 90days 60 working days
