I stayed here for four nights with work colleagues whilst on training activity. The hotel itself had lots of character, with modern touches and well laid out. The restaurant and bar staff were fabulous all week including the fantastic Bobby, who was great! The menu and food was lovely, with a good variety to choose from. I definitely recommend
Healds Hall really was the perfect place for our wedding and it didn’t disappoint. From our very first meeting Matt and the team did everything they could do help and make the day be as perfect as it was. The team did everything they could throughout the day to help and took away all pressures, making sure we were happy with everything before the guests entered each room. Thanks so much to Shirley who made our vision come to life! The food was amazing and all of the guests were so happy with the food on offer – beef dinner was perfect! The turnaround between the breakfast and evening was extremely smooth ready for the evening party to start! All the guests commented on how friendly the staff were and how well run it was – we would highly recommend Healds Hall for anyone that is looking for the wedding of their dreams. The grounds, venue, decor, and staff all made it to be the perfect day and we can’t thank everyone enough for what they did. This is a well run hotel that also provides excellent dining for non residents. The dining area has recently been refurbished and the staff are pleasant and responsive. I recently enjoyed with friends an excellent Sunday roast lunch. My friends chose the roast lamb and I selected the Vegetarian nut roast. Gravy, a range of freshly cooked vegetables and the mandatory Yorkshire Pudding ensured we were very satisfied with our selection.
Booked this place for the New Year's Eve Party. One of the party is gluten and dairy free so the meal had to be adapted which they did fantastically well. The rooms were fine. All the food was spot on and the room and DJ were great. We are already going to go next year.Rooms: 4/5

Had Sunday lunch. Very nice everything was fresh and hot. Service was excellent. Would recommend and we will visit again Noteworthy details: One of our party was in a wheelchair. This place is very disable friendly
Visited the hotel for sunday dinner, food was great, lots of vegetarian options, spoilt for choice with dessert, service fab
Decent hotel. Very comfortable bed, shower needs an upgrade. Fresh water every day, nice biscuits! Superb restaurant, and lovely friendly staff. The food really was excellent. Rooms at the front can be noisy around 11pm-1am, though it may just be during Christmas party season as revellers leave and wait outside for taxis and lifts home. Lots of parking. If getting there using your satnav, it's on Leeds Rd. If your satnav tries to take you into a housing estate, ignore it, head for Leeds Rd.
5 stars could give more. One night stay rooms are small but comfortable and most important clean. Within the room, everything you need for a one night stay including free biscuits and a free bottle of water. Evening meal out of this world they have a fantastic chef, had beef so tender. Breakfast full English cooked fresh to order. Will definitely stay again.
