Really convenient for the shops both on Northumberland Street and in the Eldon Square shopping centre. It's covered, so although it can be chilly, it's dry. There's a travel info centre have too. The bus station serves both destinations within the metropolitan area and to the towns in Northumberland. It's close to the universities and directly links to the metro light railway.
A bus driver with an empty bus drove away when I came up to the door. He was standing still waiting, saw that I was approaching and began to move on the spot.nnWas the thirty seconds to open the doors and let me buy a ticket for your empty bus service that difficult? :/
A bus station that serves areas north of the Tyne and Northumberland. Customer services provided by Arriva and Nexus.
Was on the q3 from home to haymarket then after one hour got on the x15 to go to Haggerstone Castle caravan site . arrived after 2& a half hour journey . We always arrive early for the bus as it is always busy & we like to get the front seats upstairs to get a good view of the countryside .The X15 then carries on to the border town of Berwick Upon Tweed in Northumberland .All the drivers are pleasant & friendly, one especially named George. Always smiling hail-rain- or snow.
Sunday, 15th Sept, upon making a casual enquiry what on earth is CAV referred to in new leaflets???!!! to a nearby bus driver Steve, he not only explained but opened up the shop/office to obtain info/leaflets, etc which he thought might be helpful or of interest. What a star! Thank you!
