Great place to go walking, a bit of everything, woods, lakes and an old canal

Me and my son had a lovely couple of hours walk in the wood , lots of different routes to walk great place for families and  dog walkers definitely a place to relax and unwind.

Lovely place to walk or cycle

Beautiful place, lots of walks, can walk to Winterslow lakes too, worth a visit

Great place to find tranquility and to see the fish swimming in the water was something else. The baby wild geese were a great surprise and extremely tame. Mosquitoes are available everywhere in the evening so be warned. They take no prisoners.

Tranquil and beautiful location for an early morning walk. Mixed variety of trees, with some benches and picnic tables in the upper part, towards Angler's Country Park. Paths can get rather muddy in wet weather.

Lots of good walking to be had, or cycling if that's your thing.

Excellent place for a good walk

Great for dog walking or just general walking there are several marked  circular walks the paths are in good order would recommend good footwear a small pay and display car park prices £1-3 depending on length of stay no roadside parking has Wakefield council have installed double yellow lines well worth a visit
