Story

London's first urban cidery cidery, and home to the cider revolution! The Hawkes Cidery & Taproom is the latest step in our mission to change the face of UK cider forever. Located on the famous ‘Bermondsey Beer Mile’ just off Maltby Street Market, our doors are now open for what will be the heart and soul of craft cider production in London.

If you love cider or want to learn more then this is the place for you. Our dedicated cider taproom offers an ever evolving menu of world craft ciders alongside our flagship Urban Orchard and Hawkes Ginger Beer products. Visitors can also enjoy an exclusive range of fresh stone-baked pizzas specially designed to complement the cider menu, and we’ll soon be offering guided tours of the cidery with Roberto, our Chief Cider Maker.

We’ll also be using the site to push boundaries and experiment with new cider styles, so follow us on @HawkesCiderTap to find out what we are up to right now!

Thoroughly enjoyed our cider+pizza lunch here. Had a mix of four different "thirds". Thoroughly recommend the 'True Roots' Ginger Beer like & 'Elephants on Ice' Cinnamon-ny / Christmassy. Would give the Pineapple one a miss next time!. The Funghi- mushroom/truffle oil pizza was dee-lish. Total of 4 x "thirds", 2 pizzas & Nachos came to £27. Nothing we didnt like. In short: RECOMMEND.
The app is a little difficult to use but the staff are patient and friendly. The cider was really good and the place had a nice relaxed and exclusive atmosphere. Prices weren't too bad either
One of the largest selection of ciders I have seen with my own eyes. Cold cider and warm atmosphere. Yes I visited twice in 2 days
The venue is almost as delightful as the cider, the large cider barrels in the background lit by carved wooden tree’s is a great way to experience the cider made only a few feet away. The ability to have flights of cider really allows you to experience the full range of what Hawkes has to offer, some will not be to everyone’s tastes they range heavily but I think that adds to the journey of cider tasting. Highly recommend.
A gem of a place for cider lovers. They have many to choose from, all diverse and on tap. I had a cider flight with five choices. Really fun to share and enjoy. Plus sweet and boozy ginger beer which was a favourite.
Great cidery! We came and the barman helped me decide what to try and let me try a few. I went for a super sweet cider and I think it was the best cider I've ever had. Amazing decor and friendly staff and very well priced! Highly recommend if you're in the area or you're a huge cider fan!

Great possibility to visit a city cidery and their taproom. Check the cider list: new terminoligy in cider world is about to evolve. Fine cider? What does it make the other ciders? Unfine ones? Time will shiw if this division is to stay or to fade.
Cracking taproom. Their cider range & variety is second to none. Might need to recheck their opening hours though - they opened 2 hours after the sign says on the day we visited.
