Four of us had lunch here, and sat outside in the sun. The food was lovely, couldn’t fault it at all, probably the best burger I’ve had. The condiments were bottles, not sachets, by a high end company. The staff were always on hand to help, and very polite. A thoroughly enjoyable lunchtime meal!
Spent 2 nights here at the end of November, fantastic location, beautiful room, lovely decor and comfy bed with views of the estuary. Bathroom was great with a superb shower. Didn't eat there in the evening but had 2 amazing breakfasts, staff were friendly and polite, definitely recommend Haveners if you visit Fowey. Great job team, happy Christmas and New year.
Have eaten here a couple of times this week and have really enjoyed it. We love the river view. The staff are very friendly and very helpful and the food is great. Last night we both had pan fried hake and vegetables in a lobster bisque sauce, it was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Lovely Experience! From start to finish the waitresses are lovely and make you feel at home straight away. The chatty barman also came and helped to get a highchair for our little boy, it's always nice when staff are so nice to children, so many places are still not keen on kids! We were promptly asked for drinks and the Cornish Lager is a really tasty addition to the selection. I had the Market fish of the day and my partner had the fish and chips which were all amazing. The black Forrest trifle for pudding was to die for! Overall our experience was great and we will hopefully return for more food and drinks soon!
We hadn’t been for a while and thought we’d end our year eating here and we weren’t disappointed. The mussels in the Rattler's cider and leek &cream sauce was amazing- their best to date. The specials burger with bacon & brie was also delicious and then, to top it off, or end us off, Blackforest Trifle with kirsch cherries was probably the best dessert I’ve had since, well, ever. Staff- fab, atmosphere-lovely, value for money- absolutely with that quality of food.
Food was amazing, we had the fish and chips, vegan nachos, falafel burger and the chicken wrap. They were all great. Amazing service so quick and attentive. Restaurant was full inside and out yet our food came super quick!Service: 5/5
A lovely restaurant with gorgeous views of the River Fowey. The staff were very friendly and helpful with food reccommendations. We opted for the fish and chips and the market fish of the day, followed by the chocolate fondant and the sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely divine! 5 star service all round!Rooms: 5/5
Had a very lovely meal with my partner and family - the food was amazing! They were able to cater for my mum who is coeliac, which was great. Location is stunning, we sat on a table in the conservatory right next to the window. Staff were lovely and friendly!Rooms: 5/5
Great place to eat and drink. There is seating outside with great views overlooking Polruan. Sunday roast was delicious and the vegetables we actually cooked.Service: 5/5
Definitely go here! Fantastic location with amazing views. The food was really, really delicious and the staff were fantastic. I could not fault it in anyway, well worth a visit!
