Terrible surgery, so much better when the curlew practice was there, Failed to tell me my blood test was positive over a year later and that's only because I told them it was positive So bad that doctors don't realise it's people's lives.
I have been with this practice all my life up to now even before the health centre. Since curlew practice joined homewell everything has gone from bad to worse. The service is terrible there is never anymore than 1 doctor and all they want to do is make you wait a week or 2 to get back by phone. I think its only a matter of time before this practice will have to take responsibility for the loss of people's lives. I am moving to a doctors that care about my health and not about the money. Stay away from this practice look else where
I would like an inspection on surgeries to see how many doctors actually see a patient daily. My surgery do a sort of triage with a clinician whatever they really are is unknown who then make a decision whether you see a doctor. You then have to wait for a call from this clinician if you miss the call they don't bother to call again. When I have visited the practise there are very few patients waiting which begs the question what are doctors doing. To get a visit by a doctor is virtually impossible. I have personally waited weeks to get a face to face appointment.called Surgery is today and said could you tell doctor that respiratory department at QA recommend carbocisteine to relieve the sticky mucus on the Airways. Phoned surgery to get doctor to revise prescription from buscopan to carbocisteine. On Friday 27th received message from Chloe Care coordinator they would talk to doctor on Monday this a bit negligent when i am suffering since the previous sunday. Shows a couldnt care less about patients. I am 81 have terminal Mesothelioma abdominal aneurism diabetes and other issues. Unless i get a concerted response will consider reporting to Quality care commision on this and previous issues have asked to talk to practice manager always an excuse for that not to happen.
This is the best doctor's surgery I've ever been with. It's easy to speak to someone on the phone or request help with the online service, I've never spoken to anyone who's been less than friendly and helpful, even the doctors come across so caring and patient. Generally I'm just really impressed.
Great practice, with great service. Dr Thomas Wayland really helped me in a time I really needed. Very supportive and professional. I'd recommend the practice services' and in particular Dr Wayland. People like Dr Wayland should serve as an example to many other practitioners. I'm very grateful to be his patient.
Whatever you do, please do not register for this GP for your own benefit. The doctor has lied about me saying I wanted to go private, so she cancelled my referral a month after saying it would be sent. Not once did I say this, I actually called to follow up the referral as It was taking so long and the specialist had heard nothing from my GP. A couple days later I found out that Dr. Webster wrote on my referral that I wanted to go private - which was a complete LIE!
I must say I feel really bad for the poor receptionists who must get the brunt of people's frustration and anger because of the shocking doctors here!! They constantly mess up my medication leaving me short and having to ring in time and time again to sort!! They give me bad news in text messages and never follow up with a call even though it states the specialist will call you asap. I have been prescribed medication I am ALLERGIC to and then it was laughed off by the manager who said "oh I don't know what was up with her that day!" Never mind the fact I may have not noticed and just took them!! No apology either and she tried to make me feel bad for complaining and very rude!! Will definitely start looking for a new doctor surgery. Used to be good but has completely gone down hill and putting people at risk!
Credit where credit is due. Phoned this morning at 8am with a suspected quinsy as had before. Spoke to a lovely Healthcare Operator and within 20 minutes, was phoned by the practice Nurse to come straight in for a F2F appointment. Luckily a course of antibiotics was prescribed as just a bad throat infection but it saved a 10 hour wait at A&E!
Refused repeatedly to treat me, had to phone 111. They contacted Homewell and they immediately agreed to treat me, saying the GP wasn’t told by staff what I had repeatedly told them on the phone. Had they not agreed 111 said I should go to A+E to get seen. Death is the result of my condition not being treated, so it was extremely upsetting to hear a very rude woman, not a doctor or nurse, ignore everything I said and instead talk over me. On two separate phone calls. Don’t trust them if they refuse to help you, call 111 or go straight to A+E.
My husband is deaf, he got his surgery there, we have explained all the time that please contact him by text or email, he can't hear the phone but they alway ring him, it make him distressed so much even worse they always leave voicemail! I am fed up now! So please don't ring him again. Thankyou.
