Went along to a Heritage open day, met with a lovely local history and genealogy expert, found out some great information. Had a lovely coffee in the cafe, reasonably priced and very nice. The staff and volunteers were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and very kind.
The venue is great and the show I saw was fantastic but the parking was an issue. Beyond the pay and display car park onsite, there is a private car park, which should be available on a weekend evening.
I’ve visited The Spring twice now, once for a comedy show which was brilliant and also for a cinema evening which was equally great. The staff are very polite and professional and happy to help. The bar is small but has a good selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is plenty of seating in the bar area and in reception. The theatre is not huge but this has never impacted my experience and in fact it makes the whole experience more immersive. If attending for a cinema night I would recommend avoiding the back three rows. I have never visited during the day but having looked over their events they have a huge range of different activities and events to cater for most interests. There is plenty of parking and the venue is wheelchair accessible. I would certainly recommend this venue.
Lovely little museum with some hidden gems. The 1950s kitchen was a blast from the past and especially enjoyed the moving dioramas with handles you could turn. Make sure you look up a little as exhibits are fixed high up too. The shop also sells some great chutney. Worth the walk up from Havant town centre - about 5 minutes at most!
We stumbled across this lovely theatre and popped in for a cuppa. We got chatting to the fabulous volunteer Wendy who kindly gave us a tour and talked through all the aspects. The museum, room hire, archives, art classes and of course the fabulous theatre. We will definitely be booking shows soon. Wendy is such an assett to the venue, so friendly, kind and professional.
I lived in Havant for 5 years, where I have done a documentary on the history of the town. The staff at the arts centre have been very helpful in their support during this time, which has been much appreciated. Highly recommended the museum for a visit.
Went to the lovely Cafe within the Spring with 4yr old granddaughter, both of us had toast and jam for our elevensies, nice relaxed atmosphere although plenty of people doing the same as us, bonus is the little play area for the children, said granddaughter loved it, so another coffee for me and 2hrs later we left, not before looking around the small museum. Both enjoyed the morning, we will be back for lunch.
This is an excellent small arts venue. I think that it holds around 200 people. They put on music, theatre etc. Thoroughly recommended.
Saw Cinderella here and it was fab! Nice bar area too.
We're lucky to have this arts and culture centre in Havant. I have been to quite a few events for adults and children and they have all been great. Very accessible and affordable. Keep up the good work!
