Hathersage outdoor heated swimming pool is in the picturesque Peak District village of Hathersage, Derbyshire. It is truly unique to the area.

Story

Hathersage outdoor heated swimming pool is set in a lawned enclosure with fully refurbished and covered changing facilities, Toilets, Hot showers and disabled access. Every year from March through to September It offers the opportunity to swim in the open air, amidst the glorious Peak District scenery, in water which is heated to 28°C. It is a truly unique facility with a full size band stand looking over the pool which is often in use. Every third Friday of the month during the summer the pool hosts a "Night Swim" with live bands on the band stand allowing customers to swim whilst listening to a variety of music. In 2013 the pool was voted by the Telegraph "Number 1 Lido in the UK!"

Unique swimming experience with the most spectacular views. Worth a visit whatever the weather. A July Saturday and a balmy 15c air temperature. The pool was indeed the place to be. Pre booking tickets is easy to do and advisable as some public swimming sessions are, rightly, very popular. Even when busy there is a lane or two for those wanting to exercise. Great place to visit and a decent cafe if you need refueling afterwards

Nice to be able to see the clouds and sky whilst swimming but a little too cold for my liking. Great experience and probably amazing in summer. Fabulous pool and staff, clean toilets and showers etc. lockers there for a £1 not sure if get that back as I just left on a chair. Pool clean but not as hot as I thought it might of been lol....that's just me....I'm always cold lol... Highly recommend

Absolutely love it here. Went to an evening swim with a friend. Band on the band stand Clean showers, changing rooms and toilets. Lockers are £1. Little picnic area pool side. Viewing platform. Snack shack food was lovely and the cakes are delightful.

1st time I've been, lovely clean facilities, good size pool plenty of room this morning on a sunny hot day. I paid on entrance but numbers seem to be limited so not packed. Nice cafe too. I'll be back.
