Fish was fantasticly fried, got the haddock and the portion really was good. Loved the crisp on it and it tasted fresh.nnUnfortunately, the rest let it down. Everything else was pretty tasteless even the vinegar? The gravy wasn't homemade which is always disappointing. The only place in town for this and I think they know it.
It was my first time in the UK and I am so glad I had the honor to try my first fish and chips here.nnThe size of the fish was massive - and it was very fresh too! The sauces and the buttered crisps add another flavour to it Overall a big fan and happy to have been here
Great fish & chips! Staff were all very friendly and the fish was cooked fresh. It was the perfect meal after my walk to Stanage Edge.
This place and the people working there were absolutely wonderful, can’t recommend highlynenough. The food was absolutely amazing and really good value and nothing was too much trouble while we were there. We had a dog and a very grouchy toddler with us and they went out of their way to give us the best experience, even giving my son a couple of chips to munch on while we waited for our food. Very kind people.
Fantastic fish and chips after a beautiful walk to Stanage Edge. Perfectly located. Owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to make our fish fried vegetarian. Highly recommend.
