Woke up to travel 45 mins to my mums to call the drs at 8am to help her get a much needed appointment. It’s now 8.15am and I have been calling back on repeat. They won’t even put you into a Que to wait to speak to someone .. the phone simply says lines are busy and hangs up. Extremely poor care and service.nnUpdate: I eventually got through at 9.06am it stopped hanging up on me at about 9.45am and was told there was no appointments. I started at 8.01am .. how DOES one speak to a doctor in England nowadays?
Have a few problems now can't get through on phone, don't have time sitting on phone all day. Have now tried to use this NHS online form keep having problems. Just switched off when typing info into it. Waiting 6 months for arm injury on waiting list as hospital medic said I couldn't be seen by doctor. Might as well wait until September till appointment at QE hospital. After months of waiting then will be told nothing can be done.was better service when just going to your own local GP before joining with Solihull healthcare partnership.
Tried to use Patient Access app to order repeat medication. Type 1 diabetic. Have been using this app for a couple of years. Now have to download an authentication app and add Patient Access as an account. No app was recommended. Went round in circles for over an hour. Gave up. Will have to take repeat request slip from now on. Shockingly bad surgery. Very sleek, modern expensive refit was done. To no effect.nnUpdate. I have downloaded NHS app. Ordered medication, hospital appointments listed. Much easier to use. .
It’s very difficult to get an appointment here. You need to wait on the phone for an hour to get through and they are always at full capacity. I got an appointment through the app somehow which turned out to be some system glitch as I was told, as this surgery does not have such option. This was later cancelled just before the appointment. I had to finally walk over there and I booked an appointment in 3 weeks time. I wanted to book another appointment for an ongoing condition. The lady at the reception said someone will call me about this and no one did. On the line, you cannot book this as it immediately disconnects you when you choose option for ongoing conditions.nnThere’s something terribly wrong with how this place operates. I’ve lived in two other areas of Birmingham before and there were never such problems with the GP surgeries there.
You get told to ring at 8am for an appointment then can’t get through. I then went down to the surgery to ask for an appointment they didn’t even ask me what it was for or what the problem was they just said no ring 111 or ring back in the morning. 111 referred me to primary health services which then said I need to make an appointment with my GP, when I have tried to do so they point blank refuse to even look to see if they have any availability or to ask me what is wrong. I know surgeries and staff are stretched at the moment but it’s not helpful when their attitude is awful and they can’t offer any alternative!
