Came off the train on a far away platform, with 2 suitcases and a sleeping child in a pram to find that both lifts were out of action. No one around fo help. Had to carry all the above up and down the 6 flights of stairs in total. Made a complaint was basically told “sorry not sorry”nnAlways extremely rude staff serving too. Shambles of a station. Much prefer Guildford - and I’m a Haslemere resident !!!!!! Do not recommend one bit
Dirty, badly maintained, poor communication and frequent delays. Snacks and drinks massively overpriced. Seating at a minimum and generally overcrowded trains both in and out of London. Apart from that, it’s great
Don't rely on bus replacement service, our bus didn't turn up Tuesday morning . We waited 3 hours before SWT. Could organise transport to Portsmouth for approx 25 people in the meantime we had to stand outside the station in the freezing cold no amenities available as it was one o'clock in the morning
1st class service. Super friendly staff. Was travelling with disabled mother organised a wheelchair at Guildford for us. Helped onto and off the train and even helped us cross the road and was going to stop the bus for us. Couldn't be more helpful kind considerate and professional! Credit to SWar trains!
We caught a train back from London yesterday but there had been a few power outages at stations along the way due to flooding. We’re not familiar with the area but the young man working at the station helped us to figure out the best route back and what trains were still running. He even talked the the conductor on the train we were getting on to make sure that we got off at the right stations- such above and beyond service!
