Clean remote port and train station..staff was helpful and guided us from the port to the station by bike. Tip - the train station is on the second level use the lift or stairs.
Rail replacement bus service from cold remote platform in both directions. Fair walk to check in but it is brightly lit and warm. Foot passengers have to take bus from check in as the boarding plank is out of use. The good news is you can get on board well before departure.
Worst train station in the UK and that's a stretch. You can buy tickets for a train that isn't scheduled, there's no rail staff, the staff there are employed by the ferries only privy to the rail info anyone can google. Just incredibly dire, stressful and depressing.

Firstly you had to find it and then ask on the gatehouse for them to let you through then through the car park gates and it has free parking for half an hour good place to spot trains and you can get fairy close to some of the ships
