Went there for an evening out. My dad who is deaf went up to the counter and asked if they had skin on the haddock after she had made a motion like she was wanting us to go forward to order. She was very short with my dad and we ended up going to Kelly's about 50 metres down the road, which provided great service and even better food.
Really really the best fish and chips ever had not a drop of grease was left on the packaging after we had eaten anyone wanting fish and chips in looe go nowhere else it was that good well worth waiting for it to be cooked to orderFood: 5/5
The best fish ‘n‘ chips ever. I have never had fish n chips like this. There was no excess grease and the chips were so dry and crisp. Well done “Harvey’s”. We’ll definitely come back for more.
Absolutely the BEST fish and chips in Looe. Easter weekend 2019, take away Good Friday and Saturday Night. Excellent service. Everything cooked to order, so waited a while, No Problem. Friendly, pleasant couple running the shop. Highly Recommend. Thank you. .
Very disappointed to hear the owner of the store moaning to her collegue about my partner who ordered before he got cash out to pay. Would think small businesses would appreciate the custom from locals they get in times like these rather than moaning and being rude about someone who had qued for a while before realising it was cash only. Made my partner feel very uncomfortable and we can't understand why it was such an issue as there is a cash point 2 doors down. Very unprofessional but can't deny the food was lovely. Definately let down by the service. We won't return for this reason.

Had cod and chips from here last night with a fishcake and battered sausage Again same as my portion size from Kelly's tonight, it was meagre for the price, the cod was ok, batter was crispy enough, The fishcake wasn't great, same as the battered sausage
Absolutely appalling! The awful woman behind the till is a disgrace! She was fine until she realised we wanted to pay by card, and then became extremely rude. She reluctantly told us, after we asked, where the cash point was, but certainly wasn't happy about it! When asked if we could order and then run around to the cash point her response was appalling and unbelievably rude. She needs to be taught some people skills before she let loose to speak to others. We did not go back and never will again.
Best local fish and chip shop!! Cant beat their lovely fresh fish, everything I've ever had from here has been delicious! Highly recommend
After asking for a seperate container to put some ketchup in, which is provided for free on the counter, the lady behind the counter was once again very short in her reply as she was when I placed my order, and was quite frankly rude. She said they don't provide anything like that, it either goes on your food, or, you don't have any. I commented on how happy she was and wished her a happy new year. She then told me to "f*@k off". I challenged her language and the male in the kitchen came out, chest puffed, and asked the problem. After explaining to him, he said you can buy a sachet, again bluntly. I was then told to "f*@k off" once agin by the lady! Besides being verbally abused by the staff, the chips were very below average and a couple of the sausages were cold. If I were you, walk 50 meters to Kelly's, better food and less likelihood of walking out abused and angry!
