Harvester. Lunch time 12.til 5 offer 2 or 3 courses. Very good value. Very quick service. Sonja the waitress is so lovely there. She's been there for years now. Always pleasant. Other staff friendly and helpful too.. salad bar is so nice. And I recommend the red devil sauce.. child friendly.nwarm cosy place
A pleasant Harvester, which is a budget to moderately priced restaurant that is known for its Rotisserie chicken and unlimited salad bar. The staff are lovely but more reactive than proactive here, but super friendly. E.g. We had to get up to grab our waitress after waiting a few minutes despite it being quiet, but she was nice when she came over. We didn't get our water until half way through the meal when we reminded them and getting seated took a couple of minutes even though no queue. The salad bar had run out of a few items, but topped up immediately as soon as we asked by the super nice kitchen staff. The real reason we gave this restaurant4 stars was that the chicken was so delicious and as it was a Thursday, we got 2 for 1 meaning our meal was just £15 for 2 people. So if you are patient, on a budget but love rotisserie chicken and salad, fries etc, definitely come here. Photos of food included to give you an idea of the generous portion sizes. Pleasantly relaxed dining. Restaurant side was fully booked so we sat on the pub side. It's the same food, we just ordered at the bar. I actually prefer this as it meant that we didn't have to wait for a waitress and the food got brought over anyway. Unlimited salad bar with every main meal meant a very healthy and filling dinner, whatever we ordered. The kids meal was ridiculously good value with a main, unlimited salad, drink and ice cream sundae for £5.99. My wife said the pulled pork burger was the best burger she's had in a long time: full of flavour and tender. Got an extra 10% cashback via Santander too.
A decent pub meal with an all you can eat salad bar. Food was ok, not amazing but alright. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food arrived in reasonable amount of time and was nice and hot. Salad bar was good though lettuce didn't look great so I avoided. Would recommend their devilled red sauce.
Staff were polite and helpful enough. Food was fairly good. But the dirt and grease in the walls, floors and Windows really did spoil the meal. Dozens of grease spots on the picture next to us. Looks as if the place hasnt been cleaned for a long time.
Two families having early dinner in June 2019. Called in our way back from camping, so had not made a reservation, and although it was very busy we were seated instantly as they kindly opened up an unused part of the restaurant. Staff were helpful and friendly from the outset, and the food was good quality at good prices – the unlimited salad bar being a hit with the children. The ’83 Special chicken and ribs was incredibly succulent. Would definitely recommend, and will visit again next time we’re passing.
Great food and staff. Update from 30/03, worst milkshake ever guys, u don't just use the coffee milk frother to whip up normal milk a little and put cream on top. Get some ice cream in there and do it properly!
We decided we wanted a pub meal, and so we went here. The food was lovely, the place was clean, the staff were very friendly and it was fairly cheap. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice pub meal.
Pulled pork quesadilla contained about a teaspoon's worth of meat! Salad bar was tasteless - how can tomatoes taste of nothing? I can safely say never again will I go there.
The food was wonderful, top service. I went a bit mad on the order but it's my first time out in month's after an operation. Loved it.
