Understandable that it's permanently shutdown, and been replaced by a Miller & Carter. Every single time I ate here, there was an issue. I was served raw chicken so many times it's a miracle I didn't get food poisoning. The service was mediocre at best. The layout made it a nightmare when it was even slightly busy. Not a sore loss, that's for sure.
Great position and outdoor beer garden. The food is as you would expect from a harvester. Bar staff were short handed and seemed frustrated which wasn't a pleasant experience but the restaurant staff were very good. Overall a good night out.
Very unhappy with my trip to the harvester tonight. To start with the waitress took our order with out writing it down or using the pda... Walked away saying I hope I remember that. The starter was very slow it come to our table. When the main course finally come out we had about 10 chips on our plates and that was cold!!! My chicken burger bun was burnt. When the waitress asked me if anything was wrong I replied with"yes you call that a portion of chips?! And my bun I'd burnt" she went off to get a manger who clearly couldn't be bothered it come and see an unhappy customer. She come back and asked me if I wanted another burger. I told her "no take it away. I don't want anything" so not my wife is sitting there eating her dinner while I sit there. Then half way through we realise that we had on onion petals. £34 wasted on crap food crap service and your manager and chief should be sacked. Oh so should the waitress
Lovely as always. Been coming here since I was 8 and the food has done nothing but improved over the years. The staff and helpful and polite and ensured the evening went smoothly.
For 2 hours was trying to call to book a table but not answer then someone answered and hang up so we thought we would go down there to see if they would have a table as it look very quite in there so asked but the women said they didn't have no tables and there isn't a waiting time so we should of booked a table I explained that we did and she said it wasn't her problem and she couldn't do anything about it. Never going to go there again bad customer service and communication.
Food was good, Service very good with polite staff. Only concern is the salad bar could do with a clean & tidy every 15 minutes so it's fresh for all customers.
Salad was out of date, Jacket potato was brown and out of date, batter an inch thick and not cooked and was served cold uncooked black pudding and told it was fine. Digusting food, bland and made 3 of us ill! Never again!
The staff here is always friendly, the food is always really nice, and usually we don't wait long for it to be served. Nice to pop in for just a drink, a light snack, or a big meal.
I went there with my family for xmas day dinner and one of the most worst days of my life the food was so dry and vary cold.food plates had large chips .after call one of the waitresses over thay agreed about the food that day when I had to move on to ice creams which my kids could not eat there main meals after taking the food away thay came out with the ice creams .That had a sharp chip at the top of it .it was given to my daughter after showing me it then me and there dad looked at are ones realising that my had a long hair attached to the side. we then called the manager over to show her the poor state of all this she then throw me and my 7year 8year and 1year out feeling like it was a lot of money for my kids to walk out crying on xmas day which we never got apology for me my family went through that day VEARY POOR
Absolutely rubbish!!!! Buy stake for 14.49 and no hors radish!!! What's the point iff I new that I wouldn't order it. My wife chips frozen in the middle. Toilet stinks... Newer again
