"Two areas of ancient hilly woodland make up most of this delightful country park. Renowned for glorious displays of bluebells in the Springtime, the park can take your breath away all year round with its hillside location offering spectacular panoramic views over four counties on a clear day. The site also has a great adventure play area/tea kiosk."

A little piece of haven, it has everything. Woods to play in, fields for stunning views, scenic walks and a park for the kids. The only thing missing is a cafe but there was a mobile van selling drinks and snacks for a while. I’ll definitely come back. Playground: Good variety of play equipment for both smaller and older children. Restrooms: Clean and plenty of toilet paper. Dog-friendliness: Lots of room to run around, some people had lost their dog which is easy to do in the woods. Picnic area: Picnic benches at the entrance but a short walk further and we took a blanket and ate lunch looking over the vast countryside with lots of room for the children and pets to run around.
a very nice forest park with many walking and cycling paths, you can meet wild animals and relax in the fresh air
Beautiful walks, can be a bit muddy in places during wet weather but a fantastic places to take the dog and there's a small play park for young children. Keep dogs under strict control as muntjac deer have been killed in recent times. Bluebell season in April is particularly beautiful. Parking is £3.30 and you can pay by card. There are toilets in the car park.
This place is simply beautiful. Went in the spring most recently bluebells , and it was gorgeous. Highly recommend although be advised that there are few facilities.
Picturesque country park in the middle of the city. A lively place to see and explore, lots to see and plenty of different paths to explore. A wonderful place to sit and enjoy the fresh air while overlooking the city life you have come to escape. Great adventure for dogs and plenty of bins around Dog-friendliness: Plenty to explore for dogs, a water bowl by the toilets and lots of bins around
Lovely place for a walk in the countryside. Great views of the valley from the start with benches to enjoy coffee or a picnic. Car park not too expensive at £3 for the day. Children's play area too. Saw a few people on the walk all friendly and enjoying themselves. Mixed walk with woodland, fields and canal side walk about 4 miles wit a few few hills. Interesting buildings on canal side. Toll cottage and clock tower. Playground: A few kiddies rides and frames near car parking. Restrooms: Toilets in car parking area. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leads please in fields with sheep, cattle and horses in adjacent fields. Picnic area: Large under cover area adjacent to car parking or benches with a view scenic photo image attached
A Great Place going for a walk! Quiet and peaceful place, the main road is next, same as cemetery. Don't visit when it's wet, otherwise you will slip for sure - be Careful!
Clean. Tidy & quiet. Toilets were clean. There was dog water available. Paths well kept & sign posted. Children's play area was kept clean & well maintained. Parking was available and not all that expensive. Altogether a great afternoon out with the Grandchildren.
This was a gorgeous walk and definitely would revisit for a picnic
