Had been told by someone that you'd get an incredible Fish and Chips served here - they were not wrong!! Lightly battered and tasty fresh fish, definitely one of the best I've ever had. Pleasant and helpful staff. Couldn't recommend enough, beautiful location and stunning views
We had a fab night at Harry's Shack last Saturday. I loved the decor and it was lovely to be inside with the fire on, when it was so cold outside. The service was top notch. Nice to have iced water provided. The food was really lovely. We shared a couple of crab arancini between the 4 of us to start. Then 3 fish and chips and 1 duck. Portion sizes were great. I had the duck and it was spectacular. Good selection of drinks and we tried the cocktails and Harry's brewed beer. Great experience, I'll definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely evening
Much the same as the last time we were there. Place has really taken on a weathered look so it looks as if it has been there for ages. If you want a bite next to the ocean you won’t get much nearer than this. Lots of outdoor seating but bring warm clothes, it’s the north of Ireland, on a hot day it’s cold! Free parking on the beach near the cafe.
Great restaurant right by the beach. We had really good seafood here and enjoyed watching the surfers from our table. Staff was very friendly and welcoming!
Superb beach front restaurant where the atmosphere is very relaxed but the service and food are taken very seriously. The choice on the menu is great and varied, and the quality when delivered is just superb. Add to that the polite and attentive staff and you've pretty much got the perfect venue. Booking a few days in advance is highly recommended. We hope to be back very soon. Cheers
Lovely veggie beach shack with a beautiful view of a sandy beach. Very dog friendly, although they have to sit on the benches outside. Nice food, mainly seafood but one veggie option.
An amazing Tuesday afternoon lunch at Harry’s Shack definitely lived up to the previous reviews. The location is just stunning, the staff were very friendly & efficient. On to the food, absolutely fantastic!!! We had the Strangford langoustines and Salt & Pepper squid for starters followed by fish & chips and the whole plaice. Beautifully cooked and presented, and a lovely glass of La Source Rosé. If you are in the area take the time to visit Harry’s Shack, you will not be disappointed.
Harry's Shack in Portrush is a beautiful venue for a wedding, with stunning views of the sea and a rustic atmosphere. The staff are professional and friendly, and always go above and beyond to make every wedding a success. The venue itself is filled with charming nooks and crannies that make for great backgrounds, and the natural light is beautiful for photography. Not to mention the strand beach right on its doorstep. Overall, Harry's Shack is a highly recommended choice for a wedding venue. This is Megan and Marks wedding we shot recently, the sunset was just spectacular! ig: honeyandthemoonphotography
Pleasantly surprised by my visit to Harry's Shack last week. It functions well as a beach side pub/restaurant serving good quality food for a reasonable price which reflects the general prices expected for the area. Highlight of the trip for me was the pale ale, which was a great choice to sit out in the sun and drink away at. Only notable downside for me was how early they close, but overall I enjoyed the experience and I will be back.
The customer services was appalling! I ordered mussels that came with sourdough bread. I am gluten free, unfortunately there were no alternatives, so I requested a small deduction be made to the bill. The waiter said yes I'm sure that can be done okay. The mussels were tasty, small and cost £9. The bill was brought by what seemed to be the manager, he refused to make any alterations to the bill saying it can't be done. So basically we had to pay for something I didn't get. We paid a bill of £50 in total so more than enough room to offer a token. This staff member needs a lesson in customer care! Great location with excellent views. If you're gluten free I suggest you go somewhere else. No GF menu and no GF options marked on the menu. A clear afterthought.
