Nice tasting chips. Bread wasn't very appealing very thin cheap slices. Too much butter and too hard to spread. Quite expensive. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff.

50s style interior, not my preferred choice. The food though was very nice. I had a large fish. Lovely crispy batter, big white flaky chunks of cod. Served with tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon. Pricing bit confusing, there is a big menu outside. This is the takeaway price not the indoor price which is much more.

Best fish & chips I’ve ever had! Seriously I’ve been there many times but my visit on Thursday was fantastic. Haddock & chips was perfect. No grease, crispy batter & wonderful flaky fish.  Oh dear what has happened?  Visited today & it was a nightmare!!! Greeting not too warm to begin with. Ordered orange cordial with ice & got weak warm drinks without ice. The food order was then mistakingly given to another table. Sat & waited an awful long time before a member of staff realised the mistake & we didn’t even get an apology at that point. Only when we decided to leave did a member of staff come over & apologise. Then another table sent their food back complaining. Our food arrived & was really disappointing. The fish was over cooked & smaller than usual & not up to usual quality. The chips where soggy & tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. When the waitress asked if the food was ok we gave honest feedback & were advised that their had been many complaints. The chef was new & should get better as he was being trained. Then to top things off we were overcharged. We had to go back for a refund. The waitress that served us never apologised once & was quite defensive of her mistakes. The table was sticky & the toilets dirty. They have not be cleaned properly in a long time. Please don’t blame the chef for the failings of this visit as the whole staff are to blame. Visited here many times & always found it good. Excellent last time & disgusting this time. Sadly I don’t think we will ever return. 3/8/18

Staff where more stressing about not making enough money for weekend than customers waiting food was bland rushed cold and tasteless. This is first time used the takeaway section usually eat in was very poor on this occasion.

Stood next to the closed and abandoned shop in New Brighton...And so Google figured I somehow got inside and had fish n chips...Ok, Google!

Food is always tops at any Ramsdens. But  how does the joke go? How many people does it take to cook fish and chips? Well an hour wait with 1 cook and 3 serving seems to sum it up nicely.

We went there after going to the light cinama We walk in sat down and waited for over 10 mins only one other group of 4 in there and staff seen us but just  ignored us so got up and went to the Darby pool instead and served right away. that was the first and last time I will go to  Harry Ramsden's new Brighton  the time we went was at 7.30 never again can see why it has a bad  reputation

Staff are absolutely shocking and lack basic customer service. The 'manager' being the worst of them all. Having to wait by the door to be seated like it says to only to not be greeted and having to walk around the restaurant to find the manager sitting down 'having a laugh'

After waiting over 20 mins bearing in mind we were in the front of the queue the chips were old hard and cold.   The fish although hot was very small and not fresh.  Had we not had tickets for the cinema I would have given them back.   Bad very bad.

Smaller portions than most other harry ramsdens toilets had no loo roll, waited ages to be seated and then sat at a dirty table. Food came out before drinks and then it turns out the waitress had under charged us for 1 drink. Only visited as we walked past never again
