This a great station to depart from, featuring a large building at the entrance from the main road. Departure boards have a very modern display of the train times and the bridge is nice that links the platforms; these are well-sized for the services and the vintage red station sign is an appreciated addition! Plants also create a classic station feel and the signs help navigate around, cleanliness was fine although water refillable machine was out of order.
Very pretty town with lots of architecture and historic areas. Wasn't too busy so got around easy. Plenty of eateries
Well what can I say. Great little station.nClean for starters take note Kirkstall Forge with the huge amount of pigeon **** everywhere. Staff great. Treat you like a human being. Well done lads
I myself recently revisited Harrogate spa town centre, especially by passenger train to the station serving said historic spa town, It was a pleasure to return to the town out there, especially to showcase my own occasional christmas shopping skills,nnHadn't took many photos around the town, although I pictured the spa town's soap store yorkshire soap company ltd harrogate... even a picture of the 'welcome to harrogate' map that I took on this recent occasion.
Benches inside, a decent amount of seating on Platform 1s side with and indoor waiting area with charging ports and newspapers etc for guests, but nothing as good on platform 3 - just some seats and a hut with no front to stay warm in winter.nnAlways staff to help monitor the gates, and the ticket office has decent hours.nnShame the little shop is gone from inside as it was very convenient to grab a quick snack or drink when you have to wait for your train/when you get off. Vending machines on both platforms but options can be limited.
