The staff were great but the catering could be better. The food was ok but skimpy portions and not enough cakes in the afternoon for all the delegates.nThe facilities were very good, the toilets were plentiful and very clean.
The best part of this centre is actually the Royal Hall which has scheduled Open Days and is well worth a visit. The more modern halls are not easy to navigate but there are helpful staff on hand. 2 hotels immediately adjacent and underground car park which is sensibly priced, if a bit narrow at the exit and entrance. 2 minutes walk from the central Harrogate shopping area.
Harrogate Convention Centre is very impressive both in size and facilities/ services offered. 6 floors to cater for multiple concurrent activities within the event. For us that meant the ability to have four different seminars happening at the same time with no distractions from noise, plus large areas for eating and relaxing. The in-house catering meant light snack style lunches can be purchased on-site.nExcellent venue on King Street with several restaurants and fast food outlets in easy walking distance.
I was here for the Country living Christmas Fair, and it's a good venue. Situated very centrally, near the Baths, with plenty of car parks on the vicinity. Last time I visited the food on offer was poor, but I was pleased this year to note they had really improved their offerings, and considering you're a captive audience, the prices were fair too.
Great place to see a show. Seats are all placed with a good view of the stage. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bar facilities are available for pre show and interval drinks. Venue is always clean and tidy. Seats are comfortable in the auditorium. Could do with more seating near the bar area.
