About

Harrogate Climbing Centre opened in early February 2010. The centre boasts 66 climbing lines as well as a bouldering room. We also have a Rock Shop operated by our own experienced retail staff as well as a cafe run by Harrogate favourite Indulge.

Mission

To be Yorkshire's premier climbing venue. Our ethos is to be inclusive, making climbing accessible to all.

Great session taking my nephew climbing, good mix of top ropes available and auto belays meant I could climb too. Covid measures all clearly explained and climbers following them.

The staff are kind, helpful and funny. It is easy to book and get to with a car park next to the building. There is a good variety of climbs from autobelays, bouldering, top rope and lead climbing walls. There are over 70 climbs and they get changed every month or so, so you get a good range of different things to climb.

Great local wall but relatively small and expensive compared to Red Goat in York or any of the walls in Leeds. However, they do provide top roping, lead and auto belay which the others don't. Great people on staff and always happy to help

Great for me and my son's first time, the lady who showed us the ropes was very keen and very confident. Me and my son are definitely interested in going back, my son wants to reach the tops

Great climbing wall. It has some excellent top rope routes and I always spend as long as I can in the bouldering room or at least as long as my arms can last!

Tuition with my 6 year old daughter is fantastic. It feels safe and relaxed and they encourage her to be comfortable and enjoy herself. No pressure. So she just flies up the walls!

I had to cancel climbing at brimham rocks due to a medical problem. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and helpful.

Great facilities, but soft grading.

Great atmosphere and not too chalky. A good range of routes to top rope or lead. There is a bouldering section and a small gear shop too.
