Really wonderful place this... we went in a few hours ahead of time to set up an account for my daughter as she has additional needs. The man who sorted this was outstanding! Explained how it works & got us up & running.nLater at the performance of Stranger Sings the rest of the team there excelled. Going out of their way to help several people with mobility issues - it really showed they cared & understood their roles as ambassadors for this brilliant local theatre!
Excellent evening, watching and listening to coda the Led Zeppelin tribute band. Recommended.
The Playhouse has easy access being close to the Harvey Centre Multistorey car park. There's access for wheel chairs via a glass lift in the reception which comes out in the bar. The theatre is a great layout with comfy seats and enough knee room. The dairy ice cream at the interval is great to. Sound quality is also good with it being nice and clear and in that volume sweet spot.nnI've never seen a bad performance here. They get some great travelling productions visit and of course the ones they put on.
Last year saw The Carpenters Tribute act and was a great performance.nJust saw the Chicago Blues brothers show, best show I have seen in ages and I see a lot. Would highly recommend for fun of music and dancing.nJust saw Big Band Moonlight Serenade, 18 musian playing Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra and it was brilliant. They will be back next year so get yourself a ticket.nJust saw Ghost Story called Hats, The Revival in Theatre 2, I remember it referred to as the studio. The set was good, with nice performances from all, with some scary moments. You sit on three sides of the performance area so right up close to the action.
Had a great evening at Harlow Playhouse. It was a lovely venue with a bar. The shows they have on are really good, and always something for the young and old. I really enjoy coming here.
