Three generations of my family and I have been regular customers of this establishment since it first opened. However, we've observed a gradual decline in the overall experience. While the Indian sweets do actually taste delicious, we've noticed that sometimes they are left out for extended periods, resulting in the barfi and besan in particular forming a very crusty hard shell. Unfortunately, we've also observed that the staff's customer service has become less accommodating, and the quality of the food has declined. Despite being one of the few options for sweet centers in the area, we feel there's room for improvement. Consequently, we've made the decision to explore other options for certain items but still giving a Hargun’s a chance. Although I initially rated it two stars, I reconsidered as the taste of the food is actually nice. However, it's unfortunate that for the issues I’ve stated above detract from the overall experience. 3 stars. Hope I can reconsider at some point when I feel improvement is made. just had to share my love for this shop, I've been a regular at this place and it never disappoints! The food is absolutely delicious, and as a vegetarian, I appreciate the fact that is all 100% vegetarian , the food is incredibly flavorful, can't get enough of their delicious samosas and rolls. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming. I feel like a valued regular here. Highly recommend !
I had a really disappointing experience with Hargun’s Shop recently, and it’s frustrating because I’ve been a loyal customer for a while. I made a phone order in advance, expecting things to be smooth when I arrived. My food was already packed and waiting for me when I got there, yet the shop owner still insisted I wait in the back of the line—behind people who hadn’t even ordered yet. It wasn’t like I was trying to skip anyone; my food was ready, and I had guests waiting at home. What made it worse was that I ended up waiting 30 minutes despite calling ahead. The owner seemed completely indifferent to my situation, even after I politely explained that I had guests over and that I had already placed and paid for the order. It felt like he didn’t care about his customers at all. The complete lack of consideration for someone who planned ahead and was in a hurry was unacceptable. Hargun’s needs to seriously improve their customer service. I won’t be returning anytime soon and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for timely, respectful service.
Great food, great quality, always fresh, helpful staff. This is why i’ve been coming here for 15+ years. Throughout this time period there has been no dip in quality. A very very consistent business. The paneer rolls or spring rolls as many people call them are without a doubt the best item, and even the best rolls you’ll find in the West Midlands. The party platter is a great item, a nice array of mini samosas, mini rolls, and mini aloo tikki, and a huge tub of sauce for £9.50.
Outstanding sweets and impeccable service! Our visit to Hargun’s sweet centre was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Your sweets, each a masterpiece of flavor and tradition, left us craving more. Thank you for sharing the authentic taste of India with us. We can't wait to return for another sweet journey.
Genuinely the best of its kind. I’ve been using Hargun’s for over 30 years now. My initial visit was with friends from school once we were all driving. Since I’ve had numerous businesses and they have always been my go to for event spreads. Though I’ve finished with business now I still go there for family treats and poker night nibbles. A true local legend and with good reason. They are the best. Superb. Trusted quality and consistent taste.
The BEST sweet centre in the Midlands! Staff are extremely polite and professional. The food is amazing, fresh and delicious. The shop is always extremely busy which is always a great sign. Highly recommend the samosas, spring rolls and the sweet treats!Food: 5/5

Small shop. Tried samosas which were served cold and the filling was merely potatoes. They were saggy instead of crispy and warm. Will not be returning.Food: 1/5
Picked up some samosas this morning for a party later in the afternoon. They were amazing and not only that the service was brilliant. Such a lovely friendly welcome from the lady who served me. Will be back. Can’t praise you highly enoughFood: 5/5
