The size of this place is a huge letdown. They let dogs in but you only need two dogs and ten people in here and you can't move or breathe. My conservatory is bigger. Service is terrible, a small, cosy place you would expect friendliness but there is no welcome, greeting, nothing. They also claim to be part of the Baum and Flying Horse group with the 10% cashback loyalty card but there is no evidence of this inside.When you ring them, everyone seems deaf at the other end of the phone as they always say WHAT??? Which supports my claim of the place being too noisy.
Well worth the short walk from the town centre to this fine micro bar which is also an Untappd Verified Venue. They’ve nailed it with modern, classic cask ales - Vocation Bread & Butter, Cloudwater Happy to name just two. The beer garden with its chalets look amazing.nThe photos in the digital Good Beer Guide certainly do not do this bar justice.
What a little gem, great atmosphere, quirky place, outdoor cabins are fab, staff are so nice and helpful, last but not least the food, soooooo good. Will definitely visit again. Chicken wraps and wedges, vegan meat and potatoe pie mash peas and gravy, rag pudding all delicious.
Great little pub tucked away in the heart of Littleborough. If you like craft beer and cider, you'll love it here!nnThe beer choices are always spot on and the beer is kept and pours really well.nnThe food is my area of contention with this place. It's great quality and interesting and ever changing part of the problem when you have something you really like and then it's not there anymore but it can't quite decide what it wants to be. Personally, I loved the pie, scotch eggs, pork crackling et al bar snacks they came back with after lock down. I felt it complimented the beer and atmosphere really well. Great quality, hearty food with super beer to match.nnOne to watch food-wise but I wholeheartedly recommend it for the beer alone.
Lovely little place, once we found it tucked away off the road. Breakfast was lovely, plenty on the plate and all quality ingredients. However the 50 minute wait and the fact the place was really cold was a bit off putting. Would deffo go again though if in the area but would probably ring the order through first
