My wife had the steak with stilton sauce & I, the cheese & bacon burger. Both were very nice. Only criticisms would be that the sauce was on the runny side & it would've been lovely to have had rosemary fries/chips. I realise it's subjective, but I feel too he's small changes would certainly elevate the meals.nLovely service by Julia. Certainly recommend eating here

The pub is really well situated in the New Forest, and the welcome was great. Very nice staff, and a great atmosphere. Food was quite good. The game pie was quite nice, but it wasn't obviously made with game as the meat content was minced. The chips are not homemade. Could really up the game with the food by some refinements. I wish ale in the south of England was served with the sparkler on the pump - but that's just personal preference
Absolutely incredible. Couldn’t speak of it highly enough and will definitely be back. We booked for lunch at 12pm and are glad we did, it’s clearly a very popular pub and got very busy with people dining by 1.30pm. The food was delicious! Great portions and was impeccably presented. The decor of the pub was also brilliant, very relaxed country pub style with a touch of modern and some entertaining signage also. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal team and we hope to be back soon.
Great place for food and drink. Nice outside area with some platy equipment for kids, though the play equipment is round the side with no nearby tables so don't hope to keep an eye on your kids whilst you have a drink. Great food but unchanging menu so gets a bit old if you frequent it often.
