Outstanding. Definitely the best BBQ ribs I've ever had. The cocktails were spot on 10/10. And desert was delicious. Staff were funny, friendly and polite. This place deserves an award! And to top it all off the restaurant is stunning and so is the view of the marina. This is a real hidden jem!
Setting, beautiful, dining nice decor and comfortable booth. 3 courses for 24 pounds is very fair. House white was delicious. Starters were 10 out of 10 mains a good solid 8 each and desserts 10s Would highly recommend and will be back again in the future Thanks muchly. Ross and Nicola Webster
Me and my now husband had our wedding reception here 06.10.22 where do I start in writing this review... Fab fab fab from start to finish nothing was too much for them, Marie and Mike where brilliant and kept in touch with me through out the preparation of our wedding and the day went so smoothly it was unreal. The food was excellent and all my guests said that it was beautiful presented and so tasty our thanks to the chef, the staff were brilliant throughout nothing was too much for them so thank you to them. The setting was just perfect. If you are thinking of getting married on a week day and is wanting a reception I would highly recommend Harbour Lights as you will get first class service from start to finish.
Lovely bar tucked away in Burton Waters with a lovely atmosphere. Situated on the waterfront so stunning views out towards the water. Good range of drinks and ability to tailor a variation of a cocktail.
Lovely meal out tonight. Food was delicious and staff were really friendly. Would definitely return.Food: 5/5
Fresh good Sunday food during the nice weather. The cheesecake was light and clearly made fresh!
Decent place to grab a bite. We tried there 3 course meals and each ordered a drink. My wife had a foxy lady, which is an alcohol free moscow muel and it was very tasty. I ordered the hot chocolate and it was intimidating and delicious after adding some extra sugar it was even better. For appetizers we had bruscheta and soup of the day, cauliflower soup. The bruscheta was tasty and crunchy but had way to many tomatoes. The cauliflower soup was good. For main course we had the sunday roasts, chicken and beef. The chicken was very flavorful and delicious while the potatoes were hard to cut into edible bites and the bread was tasty. The beef was not very flavorful and the potatoes and bread had same issue as the chicken. For dessert we had lemon sorbet and cinnamon and banana cake. The sorbet was very tart, it came with rasberry ice sorbet which was over the top tartness. The cake was delicous and tasty. A good place to eat and relax.
Amazing food and drinks served by friendly helpful staff, highly recommended
Where do I begin? Service was absolutely horrible , I literally had to flag the waiter down to order. The waitress who saw me an older waiter waving ignored me and walked to the bar, she didn't come to our table until I had to stop a young waiter down acting like she just noticed us. I kept seeing a waiter apologizing to another customer across from us, not sure what that was about but we made eye contact and both looked at each other and nodded our head. It's sad that the food and atmosphere here is acceptable but the service definitely needs improvement. UPDATE: 11-19-2022 We've decided to give this place a second chance, figured food was decent and drinks was reasonable or perhaps we just went on one of their bad days. This time we've decided to take our friends because like I said food was decent. Overall from beginning to the middle of the night, it was exceptional service. We had the same waiter serving us, she provided exceptional service, was very attentive, and welcoming. N-e ways, when we was almost done, I told myself that I was going to change my review from a 3 star to a 4 star due to the service we had, BUT the owner stopped by our table only to ask me why I gave them a bad review, and he kept pushing the question after telling him numerous times the reason why I wrote it. He then asked my husband the same question but rudely walked away in the middle of us answering his question. Who does that? only a 5 year old! A message to the owner. Clearly you've had some drinks prior to approaching me at the table in front of my friends. As an owner of a restaurant do you think it is appropriate to do what you did? walking off when you've asked us a question and in the middle of a conversation stormed away? Don't worry Mr. Owner we, friends/families, neighbors and every random strangers I meet will never go back to your restaurant!!! I'll be sure to share the experiences we've had at Harbour Lights. BTW, my husband tipped the waiter £20 because she did a wonderful job serving us.
**Read till the end** My wife and I went here two weeks ago and the food was decent but the service was horrible. We had to flag down the waitresses every single time she came to our table. Also got a two wrong items, and were billed for them. Wife left a review stating exactly what happened. No more, no less. Isn't that what reviews are for? Honesty? She gave 3 stars. Whatever. For the prices it was a decent place. Fast forward to tonight. We went again, and brought friends. This time the food was better, the service was way better. We were prepared to call the first incident a one-off and change our review accordingly. UNTIL the "Owner" walks over after we're £200 in to our meal, and obviously repeat customers, that are also bringing in others that haven't been before. He comes over to our table to ask why we gave them a bad review last time. Not in a "How can we do better" voice. But in a "Who do you think you are?" voice. We were all taken back by this. Shocked honestly. My wife proceeds to tell him the truth, that service was horrible the first time, but we believed in second chances, and even brought others this time, and everything was good today. You could tell he'd had a couple to drink. He asks the same question again, "Why did you give us a bad review tho?" My wife, confused, tries to re state what she had just said. And he again, asks what we thought we were doing leaving his restaurant a bad review. I answer this time, in my de escalating voice. He walks away, while we're explaining to him. While we were talking to him! Quite literally turned a great night, and a comeback story in to a horrible night, and 4 people and anyone we can tell in to never again customers. We will never come back here.
