Recently had an appointment at this GP surgery and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with level of service and care provided. Despite my initial concern about getting an appointment on the same day, they were able to accommodate me without any hassle.nAlthough I had to keep redialing for 15 minutes due to full capacity I was number 19 and it took 5 minutes before I was number one, before speaking to someone, once connected, the staff were friendly and helpful.nWhat impressed me the most was their prompt action. I had just been discharged from hospital and needed a review. The doctor was friendly, respectful and proactive in addressing my needs. Not only had they already prescribed the medication they also followed up with me to ensure everything was clear and actioned accordingly.
The Nurses and Doctors have been great at the surgery, especially with my recent diagnosis and getting all tests and hospital visits sorted for me. The receptionists and staff have a difficult job in dealing with thousands of people every week, it’s the same with every surgery. I have nothing but praise for all the staff at HFS. Thank you
As a patient with a complex medical history, I feel like I’m well supported by the clinicians at Harborough Fields Surgery. My conditions are monitored throughout the year with appropriate observations, tests and reviews. I’ve really benefited from seeing the clinical pharmacist at HFS, over the last few years, to make sure the vast list of medications that I take, are right and effective for me.
1 star is too many - 4 issues with 4 doctors all worthy of a complaint on there own.nn1. prescribed my wife contraceptive pill that caused her to stop producing breast milk for our baby despite my wife raising concerns that this pill should not be used. All breast feeding experts and the leaflet inside the medication itself say not to use if breast feedingnn2. Took my 5 day old daughter to the doctor, who said to get the midwife to do a referral to the hospital and if that did not work, then call her and she would do it. When we called the doctor she insisted on us coming back in again. a competent doctor would have done referral in the first place?!nn3. prescribed my wife antibiotics with penicillin, even though she is allergicnn4. doctors choosing to text me that I had abnormalities with my heart show up in test results rather than talking to me.nn5. after 7 working days of submitting our complaint, we have still not received a response
I have always had positive experiences with HFS. The reception team are always professional, helpful and friendly. The nurses I have seen are positive and informative, and the doctor I saw recently was so helpful. No problems so far. They are a good team.
