A year ago this was a fair Chinese, always packed with customers, and ironically the fish and chips were excellent, but over the last six months, the staff changed and the food has dropped badly in standard along with the service. The place is now often empty and I'm guessing it will close before long.

Well it did close! Then three months later it opened again with the old staff. The food is now back to its former glory. Completely recommend it again. Best in the area by far.

Tried Happy House today. Was pleasantly surprised. Ordered king prawn chow mein and satay chicken. The food was very tasty. Very good value for money. The staff was very pleasant. They also do home delivery. We will definitely order again.

I'm always a little worried when a place serves both fish and chips and Chinese! I'm not now. The fish and chips are beautiful and had a Chinese last night and I was very impressed, very tasty. I can't comment on delivery as I always walk there to collect but the food is lovely and it's very clean.

This has to be, without a shadow of a doubt, the best Chinese/ fish and chip shop in Maidstone. The fish and chips are amazing the portions are immense. any one who says any different have not got a clue about take away cuisine!
