Absolutely fantastic, was apprehensive after reading some of the review's,huge choice of food from the menu, all fresh and hot to your table so actually better than normal buffets where trays are empty or warm food, would give it 6 stars if possible, blonde waitress very helpful and friendly. Returned and the food and service was just as good as the first time, excellent.
My daughter Sally Mills collected a large family takeaway today. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent. Still really hot after a ten mile journey thanks to the loan from the restaurant of several insulated bags. The whole experience was wonderful. Thank you so much. Really enjoyed my meal Vegetarian options: I had the mini spring rolls with Thai veg, egg fried rice such great flavours and large enough portion that I will have more tomorrow
Food is great but there are only 2 waitresses and they can't cope when it gets busy. A friend and I went for dinner, mid way through eating our starters we got told we would have to move. Stood up and our table was dragged across the room. We arrived at 5.30 and didn't leave until 8pm as the wait in-between was awful.
Very disappointed with this restaurant. We were excited to try as a friend recommended a while back, however, everything from the service to the food was very poor and extremely overpriced for the quality. Firstly, the food took a long time to be prepared.. which would have been fine if when it came out if was hot. Most of the food was luke warm to cold. Also, when the main was served, the noodles came about five minutes before the rest of the dishes so was freezing by the time we had a complete meal. The taste of the food was not too bad, but the chilli beef was particularly disgusting. Secondly, the restaurant was so cold that I had to keep my coat on whilst eating. Not a pleasant experience really when your expected to pay high prices. Finally, the lady who served us wasn't the most welcoming, she came across quite rude. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable. If your looking for a friendly, good quality Chinese restaurant I would avoid this one. I have been told it was once very good but it has clearly gone down hill. I strongly recommend You's Restaurant in Hastings. It is run with the same principle, all you can eat for a set price. It is slightly more expensive, however, the food is a very high standard, served warm and the service is very welcoming and friendly so the price is justified.
They cannot deal with large groups at all. The food was nice but they were totally underprepared to deal with such a large group. They tried to squeeze us on one table and then expect two people to sit separately from the group, we eventually got them to move the tables to an L shape to have us sitting together and not so on top of each other. It took them 20mins to get round to ordering my drink and the service was so slow. The table was booked at 730, by 1030 we had only just finished up our mains, then when we ordered desserts it took ages for them to bring out a few scoops of ice cream that the hot desserts came out faster. Then they started cleaning the tables whilst a few of us were still eating dessert. As much as the food was nice, the service really let it down and I still felt like could eat more cos it took so long between courses. I would have rathered gone to Peking garden, you know they can handle large parties and the food is just as good and fresh.
The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient, the dining area is small but clean the dishes served were small but tasty however if you wanted more it was available the only dish we didn’t enjoy was the shredded lamb which was dry and salty or maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be that way The deep fried ice cream was watery Overall, apart from the small things, I would recommend it.
What a delightful experience. The staff are joyful, happy and welcoming. The food was gorgeous I and my family thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. Try it you will agree with me.
Good prices and quantity, but the food was decidely average to sub-par - very sweet chicken in chili NOT described as sweet chili, liberal and obvious use of MSG in the beef in black bean. The crispy Mongolian lamb was a little bland.
Again a great meal great service, all freshly cooked great value for money. Just gone back since my last review and was disappointed. One dish was so salty we couldn't eat it the Thai curry was not as it should be. So while I understand a price increase its a shame the standard of food has fallen.
Very good food. And wonderful stuff. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
