We have been here a few times for dinner as a family and all the time food was on the spot. They have a good range of food options from starter to dessert. However, some of the desserts are out of stock most of the time. Service is okay, but could have been better. Overall it's a good place with good service. Pros: Price, Food Cons: Seating, Service
Amazing food and service. We ordered hap Wei special fried rice, king prawns in black bean sauce and steamed sea bass with ginger and spring onions. All were tasty especially the king prawns.
We went without booking and they were quick to get us a table. Fresh food, great quality and taste, nice interior and more than reasonable price for a restaurant. A must try.
Had high hopes but we found this place just ok. we dined as a couple and my starter came out 'just' before my wife finished hers. This was only because I walked up to the bar and had to ask where my starter was..... Really can't understand how this is acceptable? The chicken satay skewers sauce is curry sauce with added bits of nuts so just tastes of curry. The main was good but the chicken was a little tasteless. There are no knives and forks. Only chopsticks unless you ask. We were not offered any further drinks and had to wait a while to pay. I think they are trying to serve too many take away orders which makes the restaurant suffer? The door constantly opens and shuts with various people watching you eat from the takeaway queue which you also have to try and squeeze through to get to the loo. Staff were polite so upped it to 2 stars
I have been coming here both take out and eat in for at least 6 years now and it is consistently top tier food. I always complain that there is hardly any traditional tasting Chinese / Vietnamese food in Bristol compared to london’s many. This food is always fresh, very well seasoned and authentically made.
We ordered a takeaway for collection on New Year’s Eve around 5pm. When we arrived to collect it they had no knowledge of our order despite the money leaving our account. We were passed around several members of staff before we were met with ‘yeah what do you want’. We explained and he said he would process a refund that evening after they close. We asked if they could just make our order and we were happy to wait, he just said well we’re abit busy so. Ended up £40 down haven’t had it back and trying to find a substitute at 6pm on New Year’s Eve. This is my favourite Chinese by far but the customer service was seriously lacking and has put me off.
Awful service here! Ordered online for collection at 8pm, went to collect and waited over an hour along with 15 other people angrily waiting for food!! Got told 5 more minutes, 10 more minutes and still nothing. I was there long enough to watch a table eat their dinner, pay and leave! Then I asked for a refund as it was ridiculous they had clearly taken too many orders. Waitress went to ask if I could have a refund 15 minutes later I asked if I was going to get a refund or my food and she says my order had been cancelled by the chef but forgot to tell me and did I want my money back, of course I do!! Such a shame as heard so many good things about this place. Not the waitresses fault but poor communication and online ordering errors it was a shambles so many people were waiting over an hour. I left at 9:15pm with no food very disappointing :
We've been here a few times now and it's our favourite Chinese restaurant. The food is so fresh and delicious, and the staff are lovely and friendly. It's a real hidden gem. Kid-friendliness: The staff are always really accommodating and make effort to include our 6 year old daughter.
Second time there and again great food and friendly staff. Service was attentive and professional. We will be backFood: 5/5
Used to be fantastic. Recent errors with order being told the wrong time and then missing items. Asked to speak to the owner who didn’t want to come on the phone. Food is great but service has been poor recently.
