I recently visited Hangleton Dentistry for a hygienist appointment and polish, and my experience was incredibly disappointing. I have composite bonding on my teeth, including a specific bond on the bottom middle to close a gap. During the cleaning, the hygienist cleared out the composite bond and denied doing so, insisting it was plaque. Despite my assurance that the bond was placed to close the gap, the hygienist claimed there was no evidence of breakage.nnI explained that all my teeth had composite bonding, so it made no sense to leave a gap in the middle of my lower teeth. The hygienist suggested I return a month later to have the gap filled by the composite bonding dentist. However, when I returned, I was told while in the chair that the dentist could not proceed with applying the composite.nnI feel like I've been made out to be a liar, which is entirely untrue. It's been over a month and a half with no resolution. The lack of accountability and the poor handling of my situation is unacceptable. I would not recommend Hangleton Dentistry to anyone seeking reliable and professional dental care.nn*Update*nnI appreciate your response. However, I would like to clarify a few points. I paid for my hygienist treatment initially and requested to speak with a dentist afterward on the same day, straight after the bonding was removed, which I believe it was your responsibility as a business to provide a solution.nnThe second visit was presented as a courtesy with the implication that the issue would be resolved. Since then, I have not received any follow-up from the practice, which I find unprofessional. I expected better communication and resolution regarding my concerns.
I've had a great overall experience with them. I've sent a message over their page explaining what my issue was and they've called me within minutes to book a next day appointment.nnThe dental nurse and dentist were both very pleasant to interact with and gave me honest advice as to what were my best options considering I was planning on traveling shortly after the appointment.nnThey were very transparent as to how much each option would cost and explained in detail its pros and cons.nnI don't often review places, however this place definitely deserves the spotlight.
Constantly cancels appointments so that it is impossible to have regular checkups. Threatened to be removed from their NHS list because of the length of time since my last appointment when the reason is due to their constant cancellations! Impossible to ever have an appointment kept as they will cancel at the last minute for an “emergency” despite the appointment being several weeks in the future.nI have never once missed an appointment.nDeeply concerning that this practice shows no regard to patient confidentiality, GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018 by publishing confidential patient information inaccurate appointment attendance history in a public space.
Amazing place really recommend. I’d been badly let down by another dentist and left with an infected impacted wisdom tooth for a month. Called Hangleton dental practice was seen the same day and given antibiotics. They booked me in for an extraction the following day. The staff were all so lovely and professional. Immediately felt at ease there. The extraction went as smoothly as possible was over in 5 minutes no pain and the dentist was fantastic all round. Thank you so much for this experience & for putting me out of my pain finally!
Constantly cancelling appointments last minute for my wife and trying to reschedule for a week after we’re expecting a baby… allegedly cancelled an appointment for an emergency which will occur in two weeks time.nHow can you disagree with a comment you cannot discuss with somebody? Ludicrous practice who is not reflective regarding their own practice. An effective example of no continuity of care, disregard towards their duty of care towards their patients, unsafe, uncaring, unresponsive, ineffective and poorly led.
