This bakery's pies are to die for. Never greasy. Wonderfully helpful staff. Gentle on your tummy and your pocket! Always pop in if I have had to to Chorley. AND you can take their frozen pies home to cook yourself too! You have not had a proper pie in Lancashire unless you have one from Handleys :-

Popped in to get a hotpot. Always friendly service. Pies and cakes all home made and tasty. Clean environment, well staffed. Sometimes there is a queue depending on the time of day that you go, but you soon get served.

Very nice bakery and butcher, very reasonable price, fantastic pea and ham soup, pie's and amazing donut.

Just had Meat & Potato pie Pea's and Gravy absolutely great and highly recommend Handley's, Best pie's in Chorley especially the Flat Steak's and Butter Pies.

Very tasty Pork pies and good soup at a decent price.

Love this place very traditional bakery. Always been really tasty. Staff are very friendly too. Can get very busy at lunch times but it’s worth the queuing Could do with some plant based option, ie maybe changing to a vegan butter - which would make some cakes plant based?

Quite skimpy on the sandwich fillings however the bread the sandwiches are on are fab they are freshly baked and you can tell. The egg custard was ok not the best I have had and won't be having again, the vanilla slice was really nice best one I have ever had tbh. Would go back again based on the bread alone. Love how it's a butchers, sandwich shop and even a place for you to get basic groceries such as coffee, tea sugar.
