Guy, Imogen and George catered for my "big Birthday" at my home. Guy has catered for us on a number of occasions and it has always been perfect. This time was no exception. Excellent food and delightful serving staff.
Nice place to have a little lunch or breakfast. We loved the mushrooms and ricotta toast. It was simply delicious. Staff were also kind, and customer profile is good. No weird people around. Another thing It's toilets we're clean. However, we tried their blueberry Muffin and I must say this is the worst one I ever tasted. Muffin had too much baking powder you don't only taste that you also get the smell of it, especially from muffin top. It was such a shame to experience this. It might be chef's bad day but we don't know. It also doesn't have fresh juice. For that customer profile they are loosing lots of opportunities. Recommended with care.
Cracking little cafe / restaurant in Blackheath. Food came out quite quickly even during a busy lunch time. The Full English was really tasty and coffee spot on. The only minor negative was that we waited a while for staff to sit us down, I had to prompt the staff into starting a conversation which I’m not used to. Will definitely be back for more food!
Lovely food, very good coffee and great atmosphere. My favourite in Blackheath!
The food was well prepared. The ham and salad were both nice. They seem to have different foods everyday as I went back again and it was different food. Simple but nice too.
I had quiche with broccoli salad and hummus and it was delicious! Fresh, tasty and filing. The place has a nice homey feel too.
Truly delicious food, friendly staff. The coffee is really good and me and my partner loved the kimchi toasties
Lovely lunch place. I got an avocado and halloumi bagel but would definitely recommend a goats cheese and caramelized onion sandwich. Only thing is, limited seating and low stock of bread.
Had heard so many great things about this place, but sadly, like many of the gentrified offerings in Blackheath, it is all show and no substance. I’m not sure how this place markets itself as an eatery as it’s really just a glorified deli, with a limited and overpriced range of produce at that. Let’s talk about the food, though. My husband and I ordered bacon sandwiches, which they make with their own sourdough bread - I don’t know if they make it on site, or buy it in, but I can’t imagine that it’s made fresh when the bread is that stale, frankly. The bacon was disappointingly uncrispy, despite us asking for crispy bacon because who wants a sandwich full of chewy fat? and god knows what congealed mess was masquerading as brown sauce in those sandwiches. The drinks were equally disappointing - tea like dishwater and a flat white that was 50% macro-foam. I think this place probably used to be good but their options are limited and not that fresh. When a brand is well established, complacency begins to take hold. It’s a real shame, as the staff were pleasant and accommodating, so I’m reluctant to leave such a negative review, but ultimately it reflects my level of disappointment in an establishment. If you want an epic bacon sandwich, buy some of the gorgeous bread from Boulangerie Jade just next door, go home, and make it yourself where you’ll hopefully have some proper brown sauce.
Amazing food and wine! I will be returning to try the rest of the menu
