Ray is an excellent teacher - and a kind man. Our children felt safe, had a lot of fun and definitively want to come again. They were surprised at how much progress they made during the first lesson. There are many horses of different size and temperament, all well kept. The place has charm and the price is reasonable for a lesson. Highly recommended.

My daughter ( 6 years old) started with lessons in September, she is having great time and loving every lesson. She has full off twice but that has not stopped her from returning . Lessons are in indoors riding school with great teacher .

My daughter had her first ever riding lesson at hamsey riding school last year however we have not returned since then. I was appalled by the way they spoke to her because of the fact that she hadn't ridden before. Even though they state that they welcome beginners. The riding instructor, yelled at her in lesson because she didn't know what she was doing. he also laughed at her before the lesson for not having been in a riding lesson before. I was very disappointed because my daughter was in tears, she really wanted to go there as the horses are well looked after and it does look like a really good school but now I don't ever want to allow her to go back there unless they change their the way they treat people.

Both Ray and Sue are amazing teachers, lovely horses and ponies full of character and everyone on the yard is friendly. I have learnt so much in my five years of riding there, take a look at the Facebook page there's tons of photos of the horses, hacks and lessons.
