Fairly new hotel so the rooms are modern and well laid out. Unfortunately the bathroom shower control was faulty and the room needs to have the heating on full to get it warm in the winter.nStaff are very friendly and helpful.nThe hotel restaurant only serves basic food in the evenings and there are few local restaurants around that are any good.nBreakfast buffet was good quality and well stocked.nHotel location is the main letdown and you'll need a cab to get to any decent pubs / restaurants.
Used to stay here on a regular basis ,not so much in the last year , the prices have become unattainable for the rooms, at least for me the breakfast was and probably still is second to none in the area , even the walk in cost was very reasonable. we always booked a river view being boat owners, the rooms are warm and cosy. do not book such a room on the first floor ,the outside lighting spoils the view at night.nThe bathroom sink is set too far back so having a wet shave results in water on the floor, a little flooding, to be honest this is the only gripe i would have against the place . The staff are also very welcoming and go that extra mile to accommodate.
Extremely fast check-in, lovely room and great view of the Tees. Had dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious with excellent vegetarian options. And only a stone's throw from the Globe to see the Here and Now Steps musical. Thank you for an excellent experience!
Booked 1 night at Hampton by Hilton hotel in Stockton-on-Tees. The staff were friendly and helpful. Security was high priority at this hotel, which we love. You cannot go up to rooms via stairs or lifts without using your room keys.nnBreakfast was great and had varieties. The staff even asked me if I want my croissants warmed up, which was very nice. We used the gym, although small but had 1 of each equipment.
Staff are excellent and Hotel cleanliness and amenities are fantastic. I had to stay here for 2 weeks for work my stay was good, I just wish I could have gotten some decent sleep, the rock hard matress coupled with pillows that flatten to nothing and a smoke detector positioned directly above yhe bed with a bright flashing light every 30 seconds to keep you awake, really spoiled any chance of a good night's rest. I will say a great hotel other than that.
