Stayed Saturday night and it was really nice.nVery modern and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.nIt was in an ideal location near main road to where I needed to be.nBar area was really nice and breakfast was great - buffet style but lots of choice and warm cooked options as well as cereals, toast, yogurts, fruit and pastries. Decent coffees too!nnFree parking and lots of things near by.nnWill stay here again next time as it was really reasonable for what I paid.nnOther family stayed in other rooms under separate bookings and all agreed and enjoyed the stay.
We were very impressed with this hotel. It was one of the cheapest in the area and provided a comfortable and well located place to stay for our trip, with breakfast included in our room price.nThe rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. They provide everything you may need for a short stay including towels, shower soaps, hot drinks and a mini fridge.nThe breakfast included in our room price was a welcome start to each day. It's nothing fancy but there is a good spread to fill you up before your day starts. You can also return for more as many times as you like.nWe stayed here to hike the Tolkien Trial and then travel to Liverpool. The hotel is about 30 mins from the Tolkien Trail and 1 hour from Liverpool. It made a great HQ for us while we were traveling around the area.nWe would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in that area again.
We stayed up here for an away football.match, what a awesome hotel. The bar area was spacious and even had a pool table which was a great bonus. We had a twin room and honestly I will trying to stay at Hiltons from now on. Had 2 spacious beds bigger than a single. Great shower and toilet and a 55 inch TV. Just over the road is a great petrol station with a real American vibe going on. Also McDonalds and KFC
I had a very disappointing experience at this Hilton. After a long journey back to Glasgow, it was 3 a.m., and I wanted to book a room for my wife and two young children 6 months and 2.5 years old so they could get some rest. I called ahead and was told a room could be booked and was asked for my card details. I said I would come in person, as I was nearby.nnWhen I arrived, I cut my hand badly on a razor blade in my bag. I wrapped it and went to the reception to book the room, but the receptionist refused, saying the system would not allow a late check-in. Despite explaining the situation and being willing to pay for just a few hours, they refused to accommodate us.nnA few weeks later, I received a parking fine for staying more than 15 minutes. The hotel refused to help, claiming they didn’t own the parking, even though it is clearly branded Hilton and only serves hotel visitors. VARS Technologies also rejected my appeal, stating I had not provided evidence, even though the hotel cameras would clearly show my visit, I sent them a screenshot of my call and also the hotel took my details as I called them about the fine.nnThe staff were unprofessional and unhelpful, and no one would take responsibility. This was extremely frustrating, especially with young children and an emergency situation. I will not stay at Hilton again.
I’ve stayed at this hotel an awful lot, and it continues to deliver a consistently good experience. The rooms are fantastic – very well designed with everything you could need, including a comfy sofa, fridge, kettle, safe, and even air conditioning, which is a real bonus. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are excellent with powerful showers that make a big difference.nnThe only real let-down in the rooms is the pillows – they’re dreadful! Everyone I know who has stayed here says the same, so it’s definitely an area for improvement.nnEvening meals aren’t anything to rave about, but they’re edible and convenient. Breakfast is generally good, offering a variety of hot and cold options, though the selection can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day.nnThe staff are always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which creates a pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel. There’s also a large car park with EV charging points, and I’ve never had an issue finding a space.nnLocation is great – close to the motorway and next to the services, giving easy access to a wide range of food options.nnOverall, it’s always a good stay. In the dozens of times I’ve been here, I’ve never had a single issue. Highly recommended for regular travellers.
