I understand that there might be road repairs, rains, winds etc. But why in 85% cases the bus shows as coming and is cancelled without any notification? The info just disappears from the tableau and there is no bus!! And again. and again. Ive been waiting today for 1,5 hours, three buses were cancelled in a row like this. There are better ways to use the information displays and people's time esp. for stands D and S
I don't understand why they spent so much time and money to make it worse.nnThe station that we had before was unique and had charm, now it's a lifeless concrete and glass box. I moved away but came to visit family and I am deeply disappointed in what was promised as an improvement.nnThe new station is only half finished with the stands that are open only having 4-8 seats a piece and a confusing offence of signs that were chronically unhelpful.nnWhen I lived here before there was a bus toward King Cross about every 5-10 minutes and I just had to wait 20 for one, and it wasn't even the same service as ran just 3 years ago.nnA clear example of taking modernisation too far and failing In trying.nnAvoid if at all possible. This is a disgrace to the town.
This bus station is alright. The buses to populated areas such as Pellon, Illingworth, Mixenden, Sowerby, Brighouse, Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Mythlomroyd, Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds show up on time however buses to rural areas with an Hourly or 2 hourly perhaps 2 buses a day [like to Norwood Green] turn up late or don't show up at all. At least the toilets are free unlike other West Yorkshire Bus Stations. The bus station has a total of 20 bus stands however only 14 are in use. There is lovely staff in the Bus Station Travel Centre but the bus drivers are not so nice, apologies to the drivers that are enthusiastic about there job, and the station security is friendly too. As well as this, recently a new travel information machine and M-Card Machine was installed. Unfortunately, the M-Card Machine is not very reliable and prune to glitching. The bus station is too hot in the Summer and too cold in the Winter. I give this Bus Station 2 stars, it needs improving.
Bus station and Coach station. Looking well for an old place. Note that Bus are getting regularly cleaned for Coronavirus, which is good. Also what is good is that plains are in for a new bus and Coach station. Then should be five stars
A good station with potential.nnIt’s a large station with lots of bus services as well as a stand at the far-end of the station from where coach services depart.nnThe services are constant and the station is relatively clean whenever we visit. It also feels quite safe as there is staff and a visible CCTV system in place.nnThe main downsides are that it’s a semi-open station. During summer it gets very humid and during the winter it gets really cold.nnRedevelopment is scheduled at this station, so hopefully these issues are fixed in the near future.
