This place is amazing. Such good service.,prompt and attentive. The food was excellent. Tasty, well cooked, hot, and delicious. Good portions and reasonably priced. We had our meal on a Tuesday nite. It was quiet and we had no problem booking a table. The young lady on the phone was friendly, efficient and very polite. I cannot recommend this place enough.
The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff was very friendly. This was the 1st time for me to come here and will definitely come again!
Excellent Sunday lunch. Well prepared with a generous vegetable selection and no shortage of good gravy!. Perfect portions. The team were friendly and efficient. Prices sensible. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely meal.
Lovely food, lovely staff, really nice place to have food and a drink.
While the food and service was absolutely fantastic...was disappointed as I was expecting a help yourself carvery and so didn't really see much difference in the regular and large plate size...also had one bowl of cauliflower cheese between four of us yet the couple beside us had one between the two of them. While the menu does say you can ask for more veg...on your first time you don't like to. No complaints at all about the food, the crumble was awesome.
Mixed feelings about this one. One waitress very helpful and so polite and friendly. Another though not rude was just totally dismissive. Food was good but some of the food part of the offered menu never arrived at the table and despite having asked for it we were told there was none though we kept seeing it go to other tables. Even the bread was rationed. We would have gladly paid for the extra portions if necessary but we're told they couldn't spare any. Having said all of the above, it was a good, friendly atmosphere and as mentioned, food was quite good, when provided by the first waitress l mentioned service was also very good quick and professional. Altogether a reasonably good day out.
We had a lovely family meal here. The food was excellent and the staff were absolutely lovely - nothing was too much trouble. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely visit again and 100% recommend.
Always amazing food and great, friendly service at the Halfway House! Even when members of staff have to deal with unpleasant customers just because the lettuce leaf wasn't the right one for them, even when it was explained to them before ordering Food portions are always more than enough and great value for money! Never any issues with this place! Look forward to returning again very soon!
The food was really good friendly staff except when we were leaving stood in the hall entrance by the toilets the stench hit me !! I wanted to check I went in the ladies omg the smell stuck up my nose .. So I think they need the toilets or drainage looking at ! Maybe that's why the car park only has 3 cars in it ...my uncle said its normally busy but it may have changed hands a few months ago! On the positive side was happy with everything else ...
Superb food and a friendly team of people. Good choices on the menu. A covid safe venue.
