Exactly what kind of operation is this company running? I spent £250 on a bike, including construction and delivery, abd was told it would arrive by the 9th January. Ten days later we were still waiting!  I spent about about an hour in total, on three different phone calls today asking to speak to a manager.  The third person I spoke to the only person with any customer service skills at all assured me a manager would be calling me back. No one did. Instead I just received an email telling me they had attempted to deliver the bike on two separate occasions and as no one was in they would now be issuing a refund! What a pack of lies. We both work from home. Someone is always in. No one has tried to deliver anything and they would have kept my money except for me getting in touch with them to complain! How is this company still in business? I would never have anything to do with them ever again and if I could give them zero stars or less, I would because that's what they deserve. The bike wasn't even for me, it was a birthday present for my daughter. Shame on you Halfords! The upside is I will now find somewhere reputable to shop.
Worst customer service experience I've had for a long time and would give 0 if I could. Contacted central customer services by telephone to request an invoice with detailed description of parts so that my warranty would remain valid. Spoke to 4 different operators on 4 occasions, each who said the problem would be resolved the next day and it wasn't. Each time had to wait in a queue to speak to someone. Several weeks had passed and meanwhile I was driving a car with a fault code on the dashboard. I took the complaint to the Resolutions centre at Head Office and they ignored my email. Won't be using Halfords for any of my services again.
Is Halford's the only company in the UK that cannot provide an invoice for goods? I was lucky to get an offer of a Interest free loan for an ebike from the Scottish Government. The money has to be paid back over the course of two to three years. I hit a stumbling block on the loan as Halfords only give out til receipts and not invoices. I keep being told that they are sending me on but only send a further copy of the til receipt? This service is not acceptable and quite shocking in 2022.
very poor service been waiting over a month to sort this out and today i just been told customer support will just be looking in to it what happened i book in for my car cam to be put in my new car i was half hour early and was sitting in my car when the manager opened my car and started shouting at me why am i leaving. i was not i was keeping warm . i reported this to complaints who have just not done anything about this. they did book me in when the manager was off and on the day the manager came in and i felt uncomfortable so if you got a complaint you wasting your time i have even left a message with the ceo at head office because customer support can not contact there manager its a joke had to put 1 star to wright this post
I went into your Borehamwood branch and the only assistant was on the phone After standing in front of him for a full four minutes, I left. Would you please train your staff to acknowledge customers EVEN IF THE STAFD ARE ON THE PHONE. A nod of his head or a smile to suggest he would be with me shorty would have been polite. Your customers are made to feel invisible. I went elsewhere
Think im slowly giving up on Halfords itself, this isnt a store or staff review. So the tools come with "Lifetime Guarantee" a bit like Snap on, which i also use, for example, where you recieve the service straight away. So i go in store with one of their sockets, which broke through use, expecting to be a straight swap. No bueno here. Ive waited what will now be the Second week. I dont know personally if its a store issue, or something else, but i do expect at least to go into the store with a tool ive purchased and used and at least have it back in the same week, its tolerable, at least. There is a demand for your tool sets as they genuinely do what they say on the tin, ive done allsorts with mine over the years, so why not have a turnaround on tools comparable to the quality of them. It isnt often they break, so i dont understand how im waiting around, in the second week now. It could be time to move on... The store itself, ive never had an issue with, nor the staff. Again, where my issue lies is somewhere different, regarding their tools. Halfords, pick it up.
DO NOT SHOP ONLINE WITH HALFORDS. The only star is for the nice lady on the customer services line who unfortunately had to advice me of the joke procedures Halfords follow. Ordered a present on Sunday garunteed by Friday I’m now into another week Wednesday and they can not refund my money back as I’ve got to wait for logistics to investigate and confirm whether my item is lost/receive it back themselves at the warehouse. So I have to wait for an error that is not mine to get MY money back. Do you think I could walk into a Halfords store pay for an item and leave without it ! And your team just say ooops sorry we lost it so you’ll have to do without till we find it! We might call you in a few days take another 5 working days to send the money back make abit of interest on it while we are at it. !Leaving me out of pocket so I can’t even buy an alternative present that’s pointless now as the birthday has been and gone!. Chased the order myself for DHL to swiftly confirm they never received the item. Might send an invoice over to Halfords as I’m doing there job for them!. WHAT A JOKE!
Your website and contact arrangements are just so appalling. Telephone number incorrect on your Christchurch website - your auto responding system is just useless. Your call centre a foreign voice can't understand and appears to know nothing. I have driven 7 miles to your store and its an item you don't stock! That was a waste of journey. The talent of your sales staff at Christchurch is very good and is being wasted by not allowing them to talk to the public via telephone. What is happening? You must be losing business.
Just want you you to know how fabulous your team is at Halfords Stroud. Not at any time did I feel uncomfortable like I can do in some garages. I had a car check and I left feeling so happy and confident in the health of my car. I will definitely recommend them to my friends. Thank you. Rubbish service,my daughter has waited for nearly two months to have a repair to her car done , still waiting with no help from Halfords . Now she has to walk to and from her nursing job alone and in the dark ,absolutely shocking service.
