Brilliant service. Good communication. Guy serving managed to deal with 2 customers at the same time and remain calm and In control! Well done will visit again when needed.
Great store with good stock. Managers are good however the majority of the staff are completely clueless and the simplest of queries baffles their mind. Needed a tool replacing as it was damaged. Took 45 minutes even after I’d told them where to look, what the tool was and how to order on their computer! More training needed!

Halfords Darlington store really good. I went in to order a bike.all good HOWEVER, the customer service centre HIGHLY lets Halfords down..on 3 occasions I tried to check on my order and not one experience could give me any concrete information. Absolutely poor abysmal service. No one could give me any update on my order …terrible and really embarrassing lack of service, knowledge or response. Zero promises reply. Zero answer to my query…Halfords store staff really good though. Their chat agents need some training
Super easy to order and collect the interior lightbulbs I needed. I was delighted to be able to identify, so quickly, which ones I needed on the website and then to be able to collect in store. The assistant who served me couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful. Halfords are providing great services and moving with the times.
Hello there. I would just like to draw your attention to the excellent service that we received from a lovely lady called Siobahn who fitted a dog guard in our car this morning. She works in your main Darlington Branch and was really helpful and courteous. She deserves a good bonus!
Great for the smaller things for your car or cycle. Can be ordered online and collected instore. Friendly staff and a fitting service if required for lights, wipers, batteries etc.
Visited the store yesterday for new windscreen wipers and just wanted to give praise to the gentleman who looked after me. I didn’t catch his name but it’s the guy with the plaited beard. He was so helpful and informative. He had several customers waiting but never made me feel rushed. Great customer service. Thanks Halfords and thanks plaited beard guy! You’re a star!
Booked my bike in for a free health check at 10:30 on a day I had no appointments, pretty easy and straight forward. Dropped bike in just before appointment time so I wasn’t late, advised by the technician it would take around 20 minutes bonus 10 minutes quicker than the site states however he had a couple of puncture repairs to do first, now my understanding of booking a time a lot is that the time booked is yours so I expected to drop my bike in and 20 -30 minutes later be told it’s done. This was not the case, I circled the shop 3 times, waited outside and then sat in my car waiting for a phone call bearing in mind by the time I got sick of waiting and went in it was half 11. The technician came out and didn’t advise what was happening only disappeared again to bring a box out then go back out the back. He eventually returned with my bike at nearly 11:40 advising no issues. What he checked not sure as all the tools and inspection stands were on the shop floor and as far as I could see my bike was never brought out from the back room. Nice to have the free check which people shouldn’t complain about but if time slots are allocated then they should be honoured as the customers time otherwise it needs to be drop your bike off and we will fit it in as I had to rush home to get sorted for work when I should have had ample amount of time. Other than that I received no inspection paperwork to advise what had been checked as part of the inspection just a receipt stating bike check.
Called in today for a new battery at Darlington Halfords. I was lucky enough to have Mark deal with me, he really is a star and went above and beyond. Having a volvo car it's not the easiest car to change the battery in. Even tho his shift had finished, he stayed a good hour extra to change the battery. I'd just like to say thank you so much for your hard work especially in the wind. Also thanks to K that helped too. These guys don't get the recognition that they deserve.
