Went in for tracking after mounting a curb in the ice. Before even looking at the cat Ronnie was telling me it would probably be a more expensive repair than just the tracking later that day he called to say I needed a whole new suspension arm and it would be £219.18 I repeated this to him several times before asking them to do the job got a call the following day at 3.45 to come collect the car then another call at 4 saying hurry up because they wanted to get the banks done and get away. When I got there I was asked for £290.18 when I quietude this I was told I could take it up with Ronnie on Tuesday but if I didn’t pay the full bill I would not get my car back. To add insult to injury the bill listed the suspension arm as slightly damaged. I feel completely robbed not to mention having my car taken for ransome I am disabled and have a 3 year old child and can’t get to work without my car so I was forced to pay a cost that I would never have agreed to.

Overall I am happy with the price, the time it took was 1.5hrs longer than stated but this was understandable as they were a Man down through a sickness of one of the staff. I am happy with the booking of, though on the printout it did not state what work had been carried out, though I could see that the oil level had been checked at least, if not changed, and caught a glimpse of the underbody being checked when the car was up on the ramp as I was walking by while waiting. They fitted my appointment in that same week as requested which was very good. So I am happy with the experience overall and would recommend Halfords for your cars service just ask that the work completed be put on the printout to make sure you know what's been done. Cheers to the staff at Halfords.

Apauling service don’t see my self ever using this garage again care more about squeezing money out of you for work that doesn’t need doing than giving a genuine service at a reasonable price.

Swift water Solutions Ltd have been using Halfords south shields for several years now and they take care of our private and company vehicles as well as our staff vehicles. We get an outstanding service from Ken and Ronnie and would not consider taking our vehicles anywhere else. This service we get from the team at south shields is a "go the extra mile .can do", something we can't find anywhere else.

Had my bmw for 2 year took it to bmw service very good. Thought id take it to halfords as its closer what a mistake put wrong screen wash in blockrd. Blocked wiperjets sais all they put in is water took it to a garage to get the wrong screen wash took out. Workman ship poor customer service poor as for there lies very good. Never going back
