Fabulous experience. My first car and my first ever MOT so wasn’t really sure what to expect. I had a full service and MOT check. Dropped off for a 11:30 appointment and picked up just after 4:30. Staff were really friendly and had no issues at all. Thanks for making this a seamless experience for a new driver!
Awful experience and won't be returning. I booked a service and MOT package. The service was first, the assistant manager at the desk was rude to me in the morning when dropping off the car. I then came back trying to be as polite as possible to defuse the awkwardness. My car had been moved to a tricky space and I asked for help getting it out. The same assistant manager then scratched my car, luckily I filmed it! He then yelled at me that there is "nothing there" over and over again as I was taking pictures. A younger team member also saw the incident and said "It only hit the tyre" and the assistant manager then yelled at him to keep quiet, clearly wanted to totally deny scratching my car. I had a chat with head office, cancelled the MOT and said I wouldn't feel comfortable returning to that branch. The branch manager then called me back, saying that he wasn't in that day, that the assistant manager must have been very stressed, which doesn't justify such unprofessional and illegal behaviour. He asked when I can come back to fix the scratch and when I repeated that I don't want to return to this branch he got very defensive and said "well I've offered to fix the scratch and you've said no so what do you want me to do!" And said that they will deal with the assistant manager's behaviour internally. I have waited two weeks to hear back from head office and have just called them again to request their insurance information and a callback from their regional managers. What a nightmare!
Echo what Yac Ms instance. My car is 4 years old and low milage around 20k. They requested me to change wheel disc and brake pad for MOT inspection. Also, they included various add on service. They mentioned these very rush and brief in the phone and I was given short time to consider. Given my MOT expire in few days, I ginally agreed unwillingly. defintely will not come back again and advise to everyone, if you visit this shop , better to leave some buffer for MOT expiry day just in case
Got my BMW tyres changed here. Smooth process, completed in an hour and a half! Would recommend!
Great service and very easy to deal with. They did exactly what I ask for and didn’t push unwanted extras.
I went there for an mot teste and they failed me for the brake disc under dangerous defect , when I take my car to mechanic garage we take off the disc and he said your disc are fine and they shouldn’t failed you for an mot so I had to spent £200 for nothing I believe the peoples who works there they don’t have knowledge they just failed peoples without enough knowledge they don’t really care . Well I will suggest use another garage for a mot . I will never go back there
Booked wheel alignment and air cons diagnostic. Upon arriving was told they don’t do wheel alignment despite paying and being able to book it. Then he said they don’t fix air con leaks. Staff very unhelpful and guy at reception rude.
Had my MOT there this morning. The team were wonderful and welcoming, Joel was helpful and kept me updated. Got my car tested fairly quick and were happy for me to wait there while they do it. As I was sitting there for a while I could observe and hear the way they speak and handle customers and I must say I was really impressed. Super professional and helpful. Explaining things with patience. Their management team should definitely recognise them. Don't think I've ever been in a Halfords where team were so lovely and they were super busy don't get me wrong. Would definitely return
Hi I would never write up a review if it's either worst or excellent. This car service centre of Halfords provided worst service because 1 there was no parking space when I reached in my time window 2 The center manager was busy on the phone 3 they asked me to park the car on a yellow line on the road which I refused 4 few mins later I saw their service person removing car out of the garage space and while parking he banged the mirror against the wall which kind of worried me and I mentioned this to the manager and I took pictures of my car to ensure that it is in proper condition while collecting 5 I usually receive a text when I hand the car but this time I didn't so when I inquired the manager he said I need to call customer service, but the fact is they were not loging in the car as they were running a delayed service. And I receive a txt when ready to collect in usually 30 mins but this time about it took more than an hour 6 Manger did not bother to give any briefing about my MOT report except it needs the brake pad review. Look up online and book 7 next day my car warning light said need tyre pressure adjustment. I did thrice in last 1 week as it was loosing air at a slow pace until I noticed a nail which was stuck in the front tyre on my car . This was an intentional work of the garage people to bring more business. Please be cautious when handing in your car in this garage.
I took the car for a full service £300 almost as much as a main dealer, suddenly a seal trim which hold the oil cover dropped because they took it off which they shouldn't have plsu they broke it when they did and replaced the pivot with plaster board screws. Still waiting for them to call me back to arrange a repair.
