Compare with the Somerset studio, I do love more this place. Even though the locker room is mixed male and female. This might cause uncomfortable for the women if it has a man who uses the same locker with them and vice versa. But the place feels more homie and it has a toilet next to the locker room which Somerset studio doesn't have a toilet inside the studio due to being inside the mall. My favorite service of hale yoga is the receptionist is very friendly! named Tommy, He is kind and patient with the customer who wanted to know more about the promo deals like me
Tried Aerial Silk Stretch for the 1st time via Classpass and I thoroughly enjoyed this session as a beginner. Instructor was Yan Min and she was very clear in her instructions. Stretches were easy and doable; you can just rest if you cant stretch like her or get too tired. At the last 20 30 mins, she taught us some beginner ways of using the silk cloth. It was impossible for me to hold up as I do not have strength on my arms or core but other students were able to follow through. Yan Min took some time going around helping beginners to get into the right structure/pose which was nice. Thanks Yan Min! Studio wise, I thought I was lost and couldnt find 144 Robinson. But once you find it, youll realise ah it is just here! Look at my pic, just look for this door. If you see the number 146 Robinson, walk in the opposite direction from SBF dont walk to SBF building. Studio was clean too and it is just 1 classroom that can fit around 12 students. As for the late comer policy... I saw students come in even after 5 minutes of being late. So I guess it varies from instructor to instructor.
A clean and cozy boutique studio to say the least. The staff are attentive, very friendly and the locations pretty central which is ideal for a quick stop over in between work or errands. The vinyasa class in itself was challenging but the instructor wasn’t as attentive/helping correct our form as I would’ve liked her to be.
Been going to Hale Yoga for over a year now : Have tried Silk stretch, aerial vinyasa and now I go for Silk Hartha 2 with my friend every week : Love the convenient locations and how clean it is! Our favourite instructor Joyce is very encouraging and friendly, and is so caring that she even remembers our individual abilities and limitations and never fails to push us to do better :D Even though we have gone for one over year, notonce have we done the same flow/poses which is amazing and shows the dedication they put into making sure every lesson is worthwhile : thank you and here's to many more years of yoga! :D
Nice cosy studio. There's only one toilet cubicle so you might have to wait a bit after class. There's a sign that advises you to change your clothes in the shower instead of the toilet cubicle, but the floors are usually wet- not good if you're wearing long pants. Lockers can be a little small. You get one towel free which is great, except the staff didn't tell me where to put the used towels. I had a good stretch at the Flex Flow class with Joyce. Time is given for you to practise the poses on your own.
Not sure why there has been bad reviews in the past, but maybe I was lucky with my instructor. Had a classpass trial, so could attend an aerial yoga with my friend. We arrived around 5 minutes late, as we could not find the place. It’s NOT at 77 Robinson, google had a mistake. Around 2 other women were late as well, and we were not denied entry. Thankful to have a very patient and helpful instructor, Geraldine Chia, who helped me as I could not get in the aerial rope several times. Did not feel pressurized, and felt that she was helpful to everyone as well.
Tip for everyone who hasn't been to this place... speaking from my own experience...I'd suggest you to look for other places. I HAVE NEVER had to dealt with such cruelty in any of my yoga class trials before. My class was at 8.15 and it was an hr away from where I was staying so I took an early bus and arrived at 8 and I was 3 minutes away from the building. I am not a local Singaporean so finding my way around wasn't easy. I called the studio and a man answered. He could not tell where I was so he suggested I give him my WhatsApp so that he could send me the location. Mind you, I waited 5 minutes and he SENT ME THEIR ADDRESS.....like hello..?Would I have needed to call you if I didn't already googled the address??? And he said that the class had started and I can only enter the class if I reached at 8.20. So I ran as fast as I could and reached the building at 8.19, took a picture to tell him I was there and I saw that he WAS online and had read my message, but DECIDED TO NOT LET ME IN. I apologised and told him I arrived early I just couldn't find the place and that I was new to Singapore and I wouldn't be late next time but he straight up IGNORED my texts. I am really sad as I was looking forward to taking this class. Hale yoga....I will be sure to never book their classes again.
I’ve been a student for 2 years with Hale Yoga. The initial attractive point with them is affordable Yoga Classes including Aerial Yoga class at like $16 or so per class if you do purchase during their promotion period. With an affordable price point, I would like to say that most of their instructors are top notch in the Aerial Yoga industry. I’ve tried other studios prior to Hale Yoga. Hale Yoga instructors are simply the best for me. Personally, my favourite instructor is Adeline and Jovis. Adeline is so patient and I love her encouragement and her confident in me even when I didn’t have trust in myself. Jovis, despite being new at Hale, is very clear with her cues for poses. My favourite go to instructors at this studio. Studio is clean and well maintained. In a nutshell, this studio is good at what they are doing -offering top notch Aerial Yoga classes with clean and well maintained facilities. If got 10 stars, I’ll give them 10 stars!
My experience with hale yoga is indeed a puzzling one. On one hand I do enjoy their classes as a student however this cannot be said of the same of their service outside the classroom. When I signed up initially with hale, I was attracted by their low price package for I felt it was an attractive price but was initially skeptical due to the mixed reviews on their website. Now as I am finishing my package, I do understand the angle where these reviews are coming from. Imagine an established business replying rudely to criticism from customers and replying with snark and condescension in this day and age. I feel like their latecomer policy is very unforgiving and to be penalized a class is very harsh and to be not let in although you’re at the destination for being 4 minutes late is rather frustrating. In addition, there were also instances that the staff were quarreling with the customers outside the changing room. I would hence therefore not be recommending anyone to grace this establishment and there are many alternatives out there that could provide a better experience.
Love how the instructors always start the session by ensuring that we have no injuries or let them know of our current injuries, and our levels beginner etc followed by setting the expectations for the class. There are also variations catered to different levels throughout the class so that we are always comfortable and not overly push ourselves to the point of injury. They also encourage us to always try and be there to support when we ask for it. Their package prices are also very affordable and their classes are enjoyable
