Used a Living Social voucher. Therapist was pleasant and chatty. The voucher description was for 25 min facial 25 min massage and a manicure. Both facial and massage together only lasted 30min but it was nice and relaxing. Manicure was more of a quick file and polish. I know they dont get much money out of the vouchers but if it's to encourage you to go back and pay full price I definitely wouldn't. So nice treatments just not what was described so disappointed.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! Joanne the owner is so rude and needs training in customer service! Have a look at other reviews and on groupon it shows just how bad Joanne is. I arranged on time at 3.15 to my appointment which was confirmed in TWO emails to be told my appointment was at 3.00 and they won’t see me as it’s my fault not theirs! No apology, and wasn’t offered another appointment or refund. I am now trying to get a refund through Groupon which Joanne the owner is making difficult although face to face yesterday she said she would contact her Groupon manager. So not only is she rude, a liar, she’s also a thief making money for a treatment that was never provided. Her salon must really be struggling!!
This is my review for Jessica, the most professional beautician, she is definitely 5 star. Discusses your treatment, takes photo’s of before and after and it is just a pleasure to be in her capable hands. Fortunately you can be treated by her elsewhere Holly, the receptionist is also totally honest and became very uncomfortable when her boss Mrs Joanne Woodward started her most unbelievable behaviour. My next review is for the owner Mrs Joanne Woodward. So I highly recommend Jesica but please be very careful when dealing with the owner. Get written receipts on any dealings with her as she will tell lies and cheat.
I booked here in the hope of having a nice relaxing experience prior to my new arrival but it was complete opposite to this. I felt very awkward, the owner lacks on customer service skills. Joanne made no conversation and any question I asked would be a one word answer. Also no drink offered in the duration of my time there. The service itself was very basic- only filling toes/nails there was no cuticle work/oil or care towards the job itself. I would be quite upset had I paid full price for this service. She gave a choice of only 8 basic nail colours to choose from. I will not be returning or recommending I'm afraid. It's sad that this company has had to go through a third party company groupon to gain more customers but there again you have to question yourself why this place is on there to start.... In answer to your response.... You will not attract new customers with the attitude of "you get what you pay for" This is false advertisement as you are promoting services that are usually "full price" but "discounted" via groupon. I would be deeply upset had I paid full price for the lack of awful work you have provided. My nails have chipped and peeled within 2 days.... And as for the "no time for a drink" especially when 39 weeks pregnant is really disgraceful. The idea of groupon is to get customers through the door...it is then your job to make them feel happy, comfortable and contented to make them want to come back to you.
I went in to have my treatment from a voucher. I arrived 15 minutes early, and was greeted by the receptionist, who it turned out was the owner, with 'I can't treat you till 11.30' and was despatched to roam the high street... I expected a nice sit down with maybe a cup of coffee or a water! when I returned at the allotted time, she immediately asked for the voucher, then disputed the amendment on the voucher from November to December. This had been done at the reception, but they had not made a note on the computer, so the voucher according to her was' no longer valid'. I explained the circumstances but she would not listen, and implied that I had changed the date, although would not accept that when I said I was offended by her accusation. I phoned the friend who had organised the date change to see if we could resolve the problem, but whilst I was on the phone the owner cut up the voucher and told me to leave the shop, or she would call the police!! she would not listen to anything I had to say to her, and again requested that I leave the shop. I put on my coat, and said goodbye to her as I was obviously not getting anywhere. She held the door open and said 'good riddance' to me as I left. I have NEVER been SO insulted in my life. I certainly will not be returning.
Bought a Groupon voucher for beauty treatment only to find that I would get just a tiny piece of skin treated at each visit unless I paid extra. When I expressed my doubts to lady at Halcyon she showed poor customer service in my opinion. I concluded phone conversation saying I would ask Groupon for refund only to be told I wouldnt get a refund. Groupon say I can be refunded.
First started having treatments here in September 2017. I decided to go with the liposculpt in conjunction with a healthy diet plan and exercise, in 6 weeks, 7 treatments I have shed a stone and my skin feels great and I have lost inches from my targeted stomach area. Jo and Jordan are friendly, great with their support and advice. Jo is an expert in her trade and I have just rebooked for a course of environ facials after seeking her advice. I have had a great experience and would highly recommend Halcyon Days.
This was my first visit to Halcyon Days but it definitely won’t be my last. I had a Swedish massage and a mini facial, during which I fell asleep!! I feel amazing now, thank you very much. See you again soon
Reall enjoy coming to the salon. Have been having Environ facials with Jo which are really improving my skin. The salon is always clean and well presented and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere! Highly recommend!
