Lovely food. But always a long wait and poor telephone customer service. Beacause the food is so nice we usually allow for (and now expect it to be) 40 mins late. But this time it was 2 hours late. As always there was no apology or offer of money off, which you really would expect for 2 hours late. Instead we were told to "wait patiently" 😂. The guy on the other end of the phone absolutely hates his job, really isn't a people person, has very little social skills & does not have the word "sorry" in his vocabulary. It's a word that should just come naturally when your takeaway is over an hour late and not much to ask for - we never asked for a refund or money off but still felt we were being totally unreasonable for politely inquiring where our food was after an hour. Finding a new takeaway place unfortunately. I've a feeling the staff of Hakka City, especially telephone guy, really couldn't care less that they've lost a customer or even if we choked to death on their prawn toast. But writing this made me feel better, so there. PS I hope telephone guy chokes on his prawn toast.

Atrocious timing. After the original delivery time, 10 minutes were added. We were outside 5 minutes before this to be sure. We have now been waiting an hour with nothing but "another 10-15 minutes" every time we call. On the second call, 50 minutes after it was meant to be here, we were told the guy was "almost ready to leave". Writing this while waiting outside in the freezing cold with no notification to the multiple forms of communication that they could have used. My number was also blocked after the first call, had to use other phones

Never have I experienced such appalling customer service. Told it would take 1 hour, then 1.5 hours, then when we called after 1hour 40mins we were told another 30 mins. After complaining to the owner, 'Anthony' about the wait, he took offence, said he didn't care, didn't want to serve us anymore, said he was cancelling the order and hung up on me. I called back, no apology was offered. I explained had we had notification of the length of wait, we would have been more understanding, he stated they were very busy... on a tuesday evening... and said he was just starting the order and couldn't guarantee it would be with us in 30 mins. I said I was not happy with that, he said he didn't want to serve us and said he was cancelling our order. I had to take up the issue with Just Eat but could never recommend this place- didn't even get to try the food

Dreadful! FOOD WAS INEDIBLE!! This is the first Chinese I have ever not eaten the food from because it was so bad! The crispy beef must have been left in the deep fat fried because it disintegrated tasting like charcoal - no sauce. Duck with ginger just tasted like overpowering ginger. Chow mien was very dry and consisted 1 meat.. Chicken balls included balls with no chicken inside. Salt and pepper chips just consisted of chips with 5 spice poured onto it. Chicken toast was like taking a mouthful of salty grease. Basically all this food was missing 3 mouthfuls (there was 3 of us) when it was placed in the bin. The whole meal was dry and salty. Collection was 30 mins late I was left in the sham of the 'restaurant' (stuff all over the tables/floors) not given anything to apologise or tie me over.. a drink/prawn crackers etc. But hey that's something very minor IM NOT A FUSSY PERSON, I USED TO EAT STUDENT FOOD, BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS IS THE WORST MEAL IVE EVER TASTED.. AVOID THIS PLACE.. you couldn't even pay me to eat there again!

Good food. Friendly staff and completely different to the normal restaurants. If you want to try something new and exciting then I would definitely recommend here
