I love Another Kind. Amazing service, Amazing people. I could go on and on about how welcoming the environment is. To be specific. It’s the women who was doing my thick, curly and slightly long hair. Her name is Verity hope I spelt that right She was so bubbly and happy which I love. She is warm-hearted and she made me smile basically that whole time I was with her. I am definitely coming back in three months time.
Never again. I been there thee times, 2 first were ok. But last time, they didn't understood my hair at all. Now is unfixable. I went from healhty, long and shiny ringlets, to a short , frizzy, and unfixable scourer. I asked basically for a minimal trim, respecting length, with some layers and specifically no fringe, now i have fringe too :...I had not open open ends at all. I cried once at home, it look horrible, probably will wear scarf or clips and gel for months. I rarely write bad reviews, but that was not right.
I love it here at Another Kind, it is such a vibrant and lovely place to have your hair done. Verity is the lady who does my hair and she is amazing, I went from having long hair to a bob and she helped me with the transition and made me feel fabulous. She is also a pink queen and makes a lovely cup of tea. Another Kind truly has amazing service, amazing hairdressers and affordable prices. 10/10 recommend.
Really great atmosphere with friendly staff. I had a very relaxing experience and a miracle performed on my untameable hair! All the hairdressers were so down-to-earth and genuinely a pleasure to talk to. I came up two hours to see Jade today, and she was absolutely fabulous. She has a such a beautiful manner, really professional and has great attention to detail. Her consultation was thorough and she made sure to understand everything I wanted before proceeding. Thank you Jade!! Been getting my hair chem relaxed for like a year now with the same lady, she is great and easy to get on with. Always feel welcomed when I come and my hair is always well looked after. I disagree with the 1 star reviews fully.
I would have given this place a lower rating if it was possible. I Arranged a consultation to see if my hair could be lightened and to have a patch test. I got some miserable woman with negative vibes telling me she wasn't sure if I could get my hair done the way I wanted, instead she offered cutting my hair and having different treatments, bearing in mind my hair is long and in very good condition. She reluctantly gave me a patch test then took a sample of my hair to test and told me she'd call me the following day but never did. It was a complete waste of time and I strongly recommend going somewhere more professional and upbeat.
My hair is thick and curly, it is difficult to find someone I can trust to cut and style it... despite trying several places in Sheffield, I had to visit my old hairdresser in Norfolk regularly until I found these guys!! I've been going to Another Kind Hair Kandi before this for many years now. They are highly skilled and very professional, while providing a relaxed and welcoming environment. I really recommend them!
Wonderful atmosphere very relaxing Had a cut and colour and its amazing the products used have left my hair in very good condition I've got fine hair and was worried it would be left feeling damaged but its quiet the opposite I paid extra for the innoluxe treatment and it was definitely worth it,I've had loads of compliments since and I would definitely reccomend them & will be going back! Thanks so much
